I just noticed about the new changed in new Google Webmaster Tools with "Top Search Queries" period. The old one stated as "7 days ago" but the new one is "Last 7 days". What does this mean?

For example, If I check on Monday and select the result from "Last 7 days".

    1. Is the results comes from the last Monday (7 days ago)

    2. or the result comes from last 7 days total average (Last Monday -> Last Sunday).

    3. Or the result comes from the one last day based on last 7 days, this mean yesterday (Sunday).

    Which one is correct? :)

Yes, It seems the data has been updated every single day since May 21, 2009 and I like it too. :) However, I just want to know about the data that being shown is from which day/period. It still not clear for me.

My guess is that it's from the day before the current day, and 6 days before that.

The new Webmaster Tools appear to have more up-to-date stats than the old version did.

Mine updates pretty much daily. It have have something to do with your PR (and thus number of crawls).

What I find intresting is none of the webmaster tools results ever seem correct. Like they would say i was position 22 but then ill check and see im 42...not sure if its predicting the future :p

No but the position of keywords are based on search query from multiple countries. Your results may be #22 for certain country but not for others. I think the results that shown are 100% corrected but different based on location.

I undertstand that. (Sorry for the immenent thread hijack)

On google.ca according to webmaster tools im position 18 (which is true)
    On google.co.uk " " " " " " 48 (not true)
However there is no stat for the keyowrd on the .com dropdown, but this is on the main page, where it says your position 22 in .com index.

At first i was thinking it was an average of the other results, but that still leaves 11 positions to account for.
