I am a beginner so please advice. Today I sold a book (eczemafreeforever.com), but it earned only $ 1.33. Is this a script error? This site have a price promotion 19.97x75% = about 12$... not 1.33$.

Well either their prices are off or they are finding a way to screw affiliates (such as a $40 product with a $5 upsell sold via clickbank, etc.)

Maybe that is the commission for trial offer. For example; they offer customer trial of the product for $4.99 and if the customer like it they can pay the full price. Then you will receive the full commission. That's my $0.02.

LOL. That's some funny shit. What a douche. He's selling his book at different price points each giving the affiliate 75%

    29.97
    19.97
    14.97

And beleive it or not, he has an offer to sell his book for

    $3.00

Minus clickbank fees gives you $1.33 commission. Move on to a different product.

Hi, Thanks for letting me know! I also found it strange that we recieved over 30 sales with a commission of 0.50c this morning!

We had a problem in our order script and it was offering the product for $3.

    My apologies for any inconvenience!

    ------------
As a clarification, Our price points are as below:

    - $37
    - $27 (Exit popup-if users are leaving)
    - $17 its currently inactive (This price was being offered if people dont buy after they are offered the $27 offer fromthe exit popup)

Commission from clickbank is 75%, and the remaining 25% directly to your paypal account as per our affiliates page.

BTW amstrad, please pm me your paypal email account and i'll be more than happy to send you the rest of the commission, because its not fair that you suffer from the technical problem that we had:)

Yes exactly. I dont know what you are finding strange:) offering discounts to people that leave (exit popup) is a very good way to convert people that wouldnt return anyways. (Better $27 then nothing)

Even the most popular eczema book on clickbank is doing it :) check it out

The only problem is that the $3 price point was a technical problem from our end, unfortunately things like this happen.

Anyone that experienced this please send me a pm(with your affiliate id and paypal account) and ill send the full $37 for each sale that had this problem via paypal :)

I really don't appreciate those popup under offers, First thing it looks very 'cheap', second thing its not a big deal for a sufferer to pay $29 if he is convinced with the solution offered.

This actually waste affiliate efforts. I personally ignore to promote these sort of products. What ever we do either Bum marketing or PPC it requires efforts and/or money, this kinds of offers actually give profits to vendor but affiliate only reaches to break even or even bad, he loses.

    Hi,

From various tests it is clearly shown that offering a discount when someone opt to leave the website increase conversion. (Many popular websites use them)

Keep in mind that the discount is offered to people that are about to close their browser or click the back button (They are leaving the website, probably they will never return)

Its a good way to convert people for $10 less, instead of nothing (better a discounted price than $0:))

These type of sales are around 35-40% of the total sales so thats a lot of commission - and it adds up

I personally don't like popup, they looks unprofessional and intrusive to the users but if it helps conversion its better to close an eye;)

Anyways we have a version without the popup as well, anyone can add the nopopup=1 to their hoplink and the popup wownt appear as below:

    http://xxxxx.eczemafree.hop.clickbank.net?nopopup=1

Let me know if this is good enough, if not we will think of something else to make everyone happy:)

Thanks for the feedback, its really good to here all these ideas :)

    Hi Robert:)

Yes I totally understand you, I've been an affiliate for years (and still am)

Being an affiliate requires lot of effort, ppc costs and facing fierce competition. It dosent take much to go under instead of making a profit.

After testing, it is clearly shown that popups do increase sales by 35-40% so thats a lot of commission that would otherwise be lost.

Check my other post please and let me know what you think:)
