Is the Recession affecting your online earning efforts?

my e-commerce sites slightly fall down but I get more from exchange rates (I earn from Adsense in general). I'm from Eastern Europe.

For us business has increased a lot. Many people, after being laid off, begin looking online to make a buck. And with our affordable graphic design services, we are the perfect stop for a start-up business to get off the ground. If you are going to work online, you need a website, you need a logo, you need banners and business cards. All of which are a necessary investment when starting an online business.

 

my sales are going up surprisingly but thats because of the niche I am in more peole are looking for ways to make money outside of a job so that helps me allot

 

I'm glad to hear some people are doing well in the recession. And I agree, it seems there are more people online looking for ways to make money, work at home opportunities, etc.

 

Dating, also.

People look more for companionships to ride out the storm with.

It's funny that you post that. I just saw a post on another forum that condom sales are also up, because people are cutting back and not going out as much. So they are looking for ways to entertain at home, lol.

Also, the recession seems to bring more traffic online, where people are looking for jobs and/or earnings opportunities.

 

Somewhat here. Noticeably in my figures, but not where its hurting me or my family, yet...

 

The recession has not affected my earnings in a detrimental way at all.

I have several websites that have recession related content, so many in fact i would like some help with article writing, blog posting etc.

 

Not at all.... Recession doesn't have to decrease your online earning or anything like that... This recession is hitting SOME countries NOT the whole world..

The internet is worldwide so I don't see how you could lose money unless you are targeting a country that has been hit by a massive recession

 

I maybe see 10% less money than the last months,but I working more so it is the same either way.

I've heard the exchange rate can really help out. I've got a friend in Canada who makes out pretty well with the exchange rate from USA Dollars to Canadian.

 

Yup. Along with my sales going up, so has Match, eHarmony, Yahoo, and others.

Money-making sites have gone up too.

Sounds like you've found something that's really working well for you. I recently read that traffic is way up on dating and social network type sites, and some attribute that to the recession.

 

I didn't notice any changes yet. Maybe I'm just one of the Lucky-ones..

 

How would you explain that datings sites trafic is way up because of recession? Anyway if people can't pay subscriptions (because of the recession) it's not relevant to us internet marketers.

 

How would you explain that Lottery ticket sales are way up?

or looking to make extra money online. i see more people,

alot more open about working online
