Adsense Earnings Down ? it could be the AVG anti virus program

About a week - 10 days ago I downloaded the latest AVG free anti virus, since then its picking up googles DoubleClick cookies (on new sessions) and killing them, which to best of knowledge would mean google wouldnt be able to track a click ?

Anyone like to enlighten me if my theory is correct ?

No way, even if your theory would be correct, AVG is working on your PC not on the website people visit.

I had to LOL on this one.
No, AVG did not do anything to your adsense earnings. Just look at it this way.
    AVG is on your computer.
Google Adsense is NOT on your computer.

In that case, it can affect your earning, if the AVG block the ads!

Yes but I am using AVG instead of Norton because it does not block the ads. :)

Yeah AVG is definitely not affecting your adsense. Now if everyone starts using the AdblockPlus extension, you could have a problem... :)

If every pc in the world used AVG it would be like that. But consider the percentage of its user I don't think so.

Perhaps my thread title was a little dramatic, I have used AVG for years, but now this new version, by default kills the google tracking cookie.

I thought it was a relevant topic, but many in this thread have missed what its about. Consider the many thousands of downloads AVG have provided with the last few weeks, then consider the months and years ahead. It will probable run into millions very quickly.

Its my understanding that clicks are tracked through cookies, if anyone of those people using AVG landed on your site, clicked your adsense ads, wouldn't you want to get paid ?

Perhaps you still will, hence my opening question, Anyone like to enlighten me if my theory is correct ?
