Yes. I'm doing dropshipping! I used to sell promotional items at Ebay! Mousepads, Keychains etc etc... With such items the number of sales matters while calculating profit! I spend around 1 hour day! My average per day income comes around $40! The only problem is my dropshipper will take atleast 15 days to ship the item(Free Worldwide Shipping). But my buyers will start asking for the product from the next day they paid! So.. If you have a proper communication with your customers and your dropshipper, this business is 100% profitable!
Yes i'm doing it since last year. Now i only concentrate on one product only which is high tech product such as electronic devices coz the demand is huge and the profit is good.
Yeah people guard their droppshippers very well if they find a good one. Blind drop shipping is good, since the buyer wont know the package is from the dropshipper. Sometimes it costs extra though.
I tried this but found I could get the products much cheaper from wholesalers and quite often Walmart sales. Yes I have to package and ship but that gives me extra advantages. I also have wholesalers that will ship to me overnight or 2 day at a low cost. This allows me to be competitive for most items. Many products are below Amazon costs (some higher) I guess it depends on how much a part of the entire process you want to get involved in.
We are doing dropshiping for our partners (silver jewelry). I think with serious partners it works well for both sides.
I tried to do dropshipping years ago with 2 friends, we went all out! Registered a company in America, contacted all the major distributors, paid for a list of thousands of dropshipping companies (just names no way of knowing what they sell etc..) In the end it was a horrible failure. We never saw the products being shipped, the electronic device the client got didn't work and it was just an absolute failure. We examined all the different ways to make money with dropshipping + ebay, but alas it just didnt work out for us. Too many other guys who get things cheaper then you. As said above however, getting a good connection is the entire thing these days.
Moneyfreak - I am using a similar dropship as well - if you don't mind me asking, how many products are you listing at one time?
It is easy to solve this problem . What product are you dropshipping ? I am probably be able to help you.
I am leaning that way... done a few things on eBay with dropshipping, but after the fees for eBay and things that don't sell - just just isn't a lot of money being made to make it worthwhile.
Can dropshipper be wholesaler that also do dropshipping and only accept? western union and bank transfer for payment of the goods. Or do they have to be dropshipping websites that accept credit card and paypal?
most dropshippers dont make that much money on ebay, its such a saturated market.. you need to find a product that nobody else is selling.. its all about what connections you have
It is going to be TOUGH to make money on eBay using dropshipping. The margins are too small for a marketplace like eBay where everything is already chap. There are probably a few gem niches you can find and fill on eBay with dropshipping but I would try for an easier business model.
I agree. I don't have experience actually losing money doing it, but that's what I've found from my analysis. eBay completely levels the playing field. And since people in third world countries are willing to do it for only pennies to a few dollars of profit, it makes it extremely hard to make a good profit. BUT: it could be profitable if you have some sort of advantage: 1)you've got good connections and can get a product at a better price/better terms than other dropshippers or 2)you've got connections and can get a product that other people can't dropship. I agree with nodropship--you're better off finding a better niche/venue/business model.
