    hi,
i had seen your site earlier, and i must say you have done a very good work on it, however the only suggestion that i would like to give is - use the whydowork adsense plugin, and put your adsense in the left, top option, that's ads surrounded by content,

You have a very nice site. Really it is very professional and looks really good. The problem is (on the front page anyway) is you have a lot of content and only one ad which is clearly marked an ad. It is also not where people will focus their attention on the right side. If you main goal is adsense earning then you need to scale down the content some and make the ads less obvious. Don't most people that see the heading "Advertisement" immediately turn away? Why not 3 ad units and also a couple link units?

If my main page does not have a CTR of 9% or 10% then I make adjustments until it does.

Your ads placement can actually improve your CTR. Wondering you can do a great job on content and SEO but never do something on the ads itself. Just keep on trying different size and different placing, play around with your ads, as what you did on your content and SEO. Then, you can see the earning keep increase

The health niche is not high paying one. The ad placement and blending is okay. There shouldn't be any problem in getting clicks if the traffic is targeted...

Your content is not very targeted. Blogs don't usually earn much unless they are extremely targeted.

    Good work though:D

Hey mate, am using the same template (see signature) xD
I actually thought of making the site's overall text to black as the average visitor on the net is used to blue links - by changing normal text to black you focus the attention more to the links instead of the blue mass of spaghetti. Black text color + url color seems to work :).

Oh and on topic: OP should change the url color to black tbh - that g*ylike url color scares the visitors away from clicking the ads. Also you might want to check out analytics or something similar and check out where your visitors arrive: homepage or a single post page?
Determine where you want your ads to be placed. If they mainly arrive on homepage. Consider using only 1 post per page, together with the 336 x 280 unit within, as it will increase the relevancy between the ads.

    Dude,

When I first go to your site I don't see any adsense. I have to click on an article in order to see any ads. That's how you are losing on at least 1/4 of the adsense clicks.
In addition to that, slap an adsense 728X 90 banner on top of your site ( above the top post).

What I think your problem could be is that you do not generate enough traffic. I mean you only have 20 feedburner readers.. Your readers are not sticking to your site for one reason or another.

That's a nice adsense template that a couple of you are using, the one made by Dosh Dosh.

Hey man, you have a great blog there. Where are your Google ads? I can't see them lol. Anyway they need to be in and around your content but definitive to the user. Try putting a block just above your main content area and one in the middle of your content and maybe one on your right-hand-side navigation. Analyze that for 3 days and see the difference.

    Hello,

There is no mistake in your site and in your efforts too. Adsense click rate is very low, it can never make u a decent money after doing a lot of efforts. If you have the capability of ranking your sites in major search engines, then i would suggest you to join some affiliates.

    Thanks

Forget about the adsense, and maybe focus on some higher cpa,cpl stuff. Like many have said, the health niche is just too highly competitive with trinkets. and not having a huge readership kills you as well.

@tommygadget: that is a brilliant example! it sure looks uglier, but if i put myself in the place of a normal visitor, i definitely see myself clicking way more on that site, as compared to the sire in discussion, which has badly positioned ads
