Choosing the wrong affiliate. Joining too many affiliate programs. Not buying the product or using the service.
I dont agree with any of them. 1. Your never going to know if the affiliate is good unless you try them out. 2. The more affiliate programs you join the more you can spread your risk out. Do you want to have 1 affiliate company stiff you for 10k or 1 affiliate out of 100 stiff you for $100? 3. Are you serious? Do you think we can try all the acai, diet, dating, etc. programs out there? You would wast more time trying stuff when you could be finding more profitable campaigns.
I think it's isn't too important to try the product unless the product is very different.Like I market casinos mostly. I am not going to join a bunch of casinos just to try them instead I look at how easy it is to play and what they offer and how I can see it helping people who do play online. I also market baby items and the stores I work for I have shopped at before or know someone that did. By joining more than one company you won't bore yourself with the same content. It just makes like more fun and you will start to find which program or product you like to market more so and want to really work at to make the money you desire
Not necessarily. You just said the opposite of what makes a successful affiliate. The one thing people tend to lack on doing is having bad tracking - which will make them lose alot of money for traffic that doesn't convert.
I think number one is definately an issue. Some affiliate networks are just way too risky in comparison to others - and even sometimes the bigger ones can be a pain to reach/work with if you aren't making a large sum of money ($xx,xxx). I don't think anything is wrong with joining too many affiliate programs, you most certainly want to do that. Now, you don't want to get so caught up in joining affiliate programs that you don't work - but you need to do it to some extent. In fact, you may actually want to do split testing at times to figure out where you make the most money - and joining affiliate programs is apart of that strategy. Do you mean using the actual product/service you promote? Well, i'm not so sure if you need to do that. Many publishers will do a test of a product/service they want to promote just to make sure tracking is okay.
Any one has good experience with google affiliate network? Does it work? Does it have Cost per lead kind of promotions?
1)How do i know which one is right? 2)How many is ok? 3)I am here to earn , not to spend money for my affiliates
1. An affiliate is a person promoting a product through an affiliate program. Are you talking about "choosing the wrong affiliate program"? 2. I can agree on that. Take one niche first and start to penetrate the market deeply. 3. This can be an issue, but isn't always necessary if you know the niche well
