Indian general elections has ended up with ball in Congress side. Congress won and next PM will again be from Congress. What do you think that is Congress's victory good for India or not?
Should it be BJP that has to be in power?

    What is your opinion?

There are some states where the allies of Congress won it for them..
There are states where they won it for themselves.

Largely, it was the BJP's negative campaign and propaganda that won the UPA government more seats than anything..

The projection of narendra modi as PM , the hate speech of varun Gandhi , are considered to be the main reasons by many for loosing the muslim votes and secular minded.

BJP spent more money on adwords than anything ..

NDA's loss can be blamed on their weak and baseless campaign. Their campaign mostly targeted the UPA's policies and also was mostly dependent on individual attack. But they failed give a better or a new policy of their own, which really failed to satisfy the people. The BJP's hidutva policy has always kept the other religions vote away. But their recent activities like Narendra Modi being projected as new PM then the hate speech of Varun Gandhi brought the final blow as the youth which votes with its brain and also intellectuls kept their vote for UPA.
UPA on the otherhand had wonderful approach. Rahul Gandhi played the leading role in gathering the vote of the youth. BJP made a blunder in attacking UPA for their approach against pakistan sponsered terrorism. But they failed to look back at their track record. The Kandahar plane hijack....they freed hostages. The chief of Lasker-e-Toiba was freed. (I am not sure if he belonged to Laskar but as far as i remember he does. correct me if i am wrong). Then their approach to the Parliament attack was disastorous. With India taking no solid steps International community failed to see that terrorists were having a good time in Pakistan. But in the Mumbai attacks UPA left no stone unturned in bringing strong evidences against the Paksitan and its ISI. This is a matter of sentiment for every Indian and BJP just nailed its own coffin.

    My personal view:
I am happy to see UPA win. It would have been a sad day in the history of India had BJP won and L K Advani becoming PM. The man responsible behind the 1992-93 communal riots in India leading India!!! Let me tell you watch the video of Babri Masjid demolition: This man was shouting 'Ram nam satya hai, Babri Masjid dwasta hai'. And everyone knows this incident lead to mass killings and communal riots in India. Y fight for a temple??? I belive had Ram been alive to see this he would have commited suicide. Instead of building a Ram temple they should have thought of having a Ram Rajya. But thanks to God and also Indians for saving India.

Well BJP lost because of their own thoughts and they haven't made any proper campaign and wrong leader as Advani is not feet for strong leader! If NDA Projected Modi as PM then things will surly different then now. Second thing which we should note that NDA have no allies in South India and big states where they not open an account which caused them badly! They should now work on it!

Overall I am happy even I am NDA supporter since UPA government will be better now as there is no Left, Lalu and Paswan in this which caused many problems. UPA did good job and they have clean records over 5 years!

we are nowhere near the developed countries.

even if we grow at 9% a year, we will need another 40 years to reach levels of development that smaller countries like New Zealand and Hong Kong have achieved.

With a population of 1.1 billion, which is projected to touch 1.8 billion by 2050, it is nearly impossible for India to achieve the development standards that some of the most developed nations have achieved.

The exit polls weren't good enough. I guess that's because the "experts" were speaking more with the politicians than with the people. Congrats to Mr.Singh.

All political parties are almost the same. A party that promises the most freebies to the people wins. All of them are socialists.

    1. Congress/UPA - Socialist to the core (Call themselves the party of the Common man)
    2. NDA/BJP - Nationalist Right-wing socialists
    3. Left-Front - Communists & socialists

Even the Constitution of India declares the country to be a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic.

Why do poor countries turn to socialism? What is this fascination with socialism? People love to get freebies and the politicians compete with each other to give away stuff. Really very disappointing. :(

    the problem is not socialism.

    the problem is "populism".

every year, lacs of crores of rupees are borrowed and pumped into non-productive projects and schemes.

if central and state governments don't show fiscal prudence, India will become a big economic bubble, which will burst in 2 or 3 decades.

people voted for development rather then political stuff. Youth majority voted congress to power.
Bjp--they dont have many leaders to lead the country-- only 5-6 prominent personalities they have. Congress full of youth/experience will move the county ahead. Advani is never favored as a Pm by young generatio
also showcasing Modi as the next leader was a bad choice.
