my yahoo mail account was closed and terminated, stating that it was used for spam?? i used to send 20-50 emails a day from it...do u know what the limit is? or do u think someone complained?
this what i was thinking, but if thats the case, what if i started reporting people i dont like, and got other ppl to report him too...would that person get terminated acount?
It only takes one as TOPS points out ... ... kind of like sex huh, just once and you're screwed. Even a single email is SPAM if unsolicited, but I seriously doubt Y! closed you down due to a single complaint ... is there a Paul Harvey version to this - the rest of the story?
Man, where are all these naysayers and thread trashers coming from? Isn't school back in session yet? That was really uncalled for WUD ... he never said or admitted to sending SPAM; for that matter, maybe a clever competitor got a bunch of friends to complain to Y! about him without merit - it's not impossible. Heck, give me your YMail info and about 20 of us could prove that theory overnight. C'mon ... some of us may have alluded to him that his suspension was likely due to 'something' but you took it way too far friend.
i think you and 1000 people could report me and i won`t get my account closed, because i`m sending NO emails from it
whatudo has been on a mission all day trashing people. He must be having a bad day But on a serious note: if they report you, they must be showing some sort of proof, correct? And the fact that you would ask about the quantity, makes me feel like there might be something that you're not really telling us here.
You said you send out about 50 emails a day. That in itself is not so bad, as I send that many, or close to it. My question is this. How long of a time period is that 50 emails sent over? Most host set a limit on email events per minute, and if you exceed that, they consider it spam.
