Nope, only protection available is software firewalls. We rather not host VPS's that are prone to large DDoS attacks since vps nodes have other clients on them that can be affected.

 

So how can i assure that my server is safe from hacking,

Probably be a good idea to install firewalls. Have strong passwords...etc. A lot of people don't have hardware DDoS protection and manage just fine with IPTables and such. Hacking can be performed even if you have DDoS protection, that doesn't prevent hacking anymore than what a firewall can do. It'll prevent large DoS attacks sure, but small hacking wont be stopped.

~Monty~: Prices are reoccurring. Cpanel/WHM is $14.95/mo for these VPS's. YOu can get it for cheaper on our website. And these are Unmanaged, hence the name of the VPS's... No way could we afford to make these managed with the low prices.

 

Is the RAM you mention for each above is the Burstable RAM or guaranteed RAM..

Greyhound: Yes, we will allow proxies. However if they are poorly scripted and start to use to much CPU power and affect other clients, we may have to throttle your CPU availability since CPU is shared.

I'm not exactly sure what a "rapidshot script" is, so I'm unable to answer that for you. If it's just a script then I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed. If the script is malicious and promotes illegal activity then of course it wouldn't be allowed.

 

rapidshot is not contain illegal activity.

it is just like rapidleech where user can download the files from different file hosting like rapidshare, megaupload, gigasize and many other.


but in rapidshot it only use to download file from rapidshare server and provide link to the users.

and it will only contain legal file in it.

and as far many host provide this, i m also using it before on a vps from 1sthoster but he scam many dp users here.

Then it shouldn't be an issue if there is no "warez linking" or anything else illegal operating with that script. As long as we don't get abuse reports we will be happy, abuse reports are very time consuming.
