    - Where are your incoming links coming from?
    - Are you getting paid incoming links, exhanging links?
    - What are your submissions methods used?

PS> agree here, use a sitemap to be at least able to see what is going on with it. G provides good stats on the sitemaps GUI!

    Good luck.

You might want to use Google's sitemap feature which can be quite a good help.

I assume that you are targeting for the keyword, 'Dog Health' (by seeing your sig) :D

I do not know how many pages you have in your site but it seems that most of the search engine manage to index 2,000 to 3,000+ pages from your site.

I have the following suggestions to help and improve your site ranking according to 'Dog Health' keyword.

    1. Use <H1> to include your keyword. I am quite surprised to see that you have no H1 tags in your home page..

    2. From all your internal pages, link back to your home page by using 'Dog Health' keyword.

    3. Shorten your homepage title and include the targeted keyword.

The above suggestions are the most important issues to deal with currently.

    4. Shorten your META keywords to include only a few keywords. You are diluting the whole tag currently.

    5. Remove the following tag as search engine ignores them nowadays.
    <meta name="robots" content="index, follow">

    6. Change some of your <H2> to more meaning words such as keywords. 'Go Home' means very little to search engine.

The difficulty of ranking high with 'Dog Health' is pretty close to 'SEO' keyword. Therefore, it takes time and effort especially for link building. Do not give up, I can see the great potential of your site :)

    Hope that my advice helps.

You should make a HTML page sitemap that lists every single page and place the sitemap link on the footer or sidebar so its on every page.

The sitemap was the first thing that popped into my head when I looked at your site. Nice site by the way ;)

It takes time. I began actively promoting my site in January and I can happily report that as of this month, I have achieved great rankings in google. I submitted to directories (tons of them), acquired relevant link exchanges, posted in forums , added lots of content to my site and submitted a few artilces. Good luck and don't give up!

Thanks for all the feedback so far. I have made some changes already that I feel will benefit:
    http://www.dogflu.ca

My traffick is really high, 5k daily but it is coming via one source and I would like to get some organic traffick, thus the need to optimize my site.

I've done the directory submission thing, traded links with almost every site listed on the links pages on my site, I will ad a site map though since everyone seems to think its worth it. Keep the suggestions coming, thanks again.

Is there a way to create a site map so you dont have to keep updating it each time you ad new content to your site?

Your internal pages are linked with anchor text such as '1', '2', 'next page', 'last page'...It would be much better if you could develop an internal link structure that actually used the anchor text of the pages you are targeting.

Your current structure is logical yet it is not at all optimal. A very easy way to do what I have suggested is either leave your existing structure and interlink contextually or use rel=nofollow in your current structure and interlink contextually.

thanks I will work on that:

I've just created a site map but it only shows 484 pages on my site when I know there is way more than that, any idea why this would be the case?
