as I said. use Google adword keyword external tools to find a good domain name. If all 1 word already registered, try with 2 words.

    hxxps://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

    (replace hxxps with https)

    Short, unique, easy to remember.

Many websites are doing the web 2.0 thing and taking a common word and leaving a vowel out.

    (Flickr, Tumblr, Neighbr, etc.)

Stay away from misspellings, as for the use of hyphens, I have several sites, ecommerce related, whose domain name includes hyphens and I have experienced no ill effects. For example, rabbit-cages.com, this site uses a hyphen but ranks like crazy, in my research hyphens are okay as long as the domain name is spelled out in the content without the hyphen. Make sense?

The more keywords in domain name the better from SEO perspective. I guess you don't have thousands of dollars to promote some wierdandmeaninglessword.com domain.

As another member above mentioned... I have to agree that hyphens don't have any negative effect on the domain name. While it is much easier to remember a domain without one if the one you want is taken a hyphenated domain is better than one that's not exactly what you want.

Choose words related to the content of your site. There is a debate about whether or not hyphens affect the seo of your site. In my personal opinion, as others in this thread have said, it makes no difference.
