Adsense Testing Mode

    I read somewhere the other day that Adsense has a testing mode you can enable so you don't accidentally click on your own ads when creating your website, add a simple line of code to your adsense:

    Can anyone back up if this works, obviously I'm sure it's something risky to test out yourself :p

    You are not allowed to use this. The AdSense TOS strictly prohibits modifying the AdSense code. The google_adtest is something that some premium publisher are allowed to use. Don't do it.

    Imo this isn't modifying the code, not if the code already exists. That's like saying you're modifying the code by putting an alternate URL in ;)

    For testing, I've always used a publisher ID of ca-test...

    Good idea! Because sometimes I actually get intruiqed by some of the adsense ads that pop up on my site during construction.

    Well something like this would really help for smart pricing, you could test the ads yourself to see where they lead & what the chances are they might not convert etc. Obviously a lot more work but intruiging nonetheless :cool:

    By disabling JAVA script in internet explorer one can avoid showing google ads .but I m not sure if it makes any difference to your page impression.
