Over the last few months on of my niche sites http://www.howtogetyourexback.bestreviewsandguides.com/ has quietly risen to PR 1 and onto Google Page 1 for the primary keyword ‘how to get your ex back’ and was bringing in 100 people a day, 75% from Google. Suddenly, over a week, the traffic dropped to 10 per day, and my site has dropped off page 1 and out of of sight in the search results, taking most of my income from this site with it :-( The site is all original material and I’ve not been doing any black hat SEO that I’m aware of. About the only thing ‘new’ I did during the previous fortnight was add a bunch more RSS aggregators using Icansoft’s RSS Bot to semi-automate the task and install their Tranlator script. Googles Webmaster Tools report: 50 URL's indexed - which would be correct No problems with duplicate content Sitemap is being read regularly without problems PR is still being reported on the Google Toolbar as PR1 With visitors down 90% the loss of the Page 1 position is costing me significant money. Why would this happen, and what do I need to do to get back to the results I had before?? Thanks
wait for a few more days - it results dont return build more anchored links and you will definitely have it back.
Not a big question. this problem has so many reasons. and one of that your competitors left you behind so continue seo and generate more backlinks for come back
Just keep doing what your doing and post some new content on it at least 2x a week, should be just a temporary thing if you've gone way back but its a bit strange if you've been at position 1 for a few months. If you've only been there for a short time then you will bounce up and down the SERPS so keep doing what you're doing and wait it out.
Same thing happen in my blog, all are ok (PR, blog index, back link) but my traffic from google reduced 400 to 20 per day. My post removed from top of keywords without reason. In march same thing happen and come back after 7 days. This time already reached 8 days, traffic not increased, why? Please help me
One thing that may be affecting the results is the other webmasters in your niche busting there butts to get your spot and did so kicking you off. Do a review of competitors and make sure your staying up with them in backlinks. Also if you have not been updating your website at least daily and google hits your site then your competitors which have updated daily they will think their content is fresher and may bump you of course this is only a couple of reasons out of hundreds. By the way how old is your site, you may just be recieving the bounce most sites get when the first begin.
Hey! Thanks for the input everyone. I use WebCEO to keep track of my, and my competitors, SERP ranking and link numbers - they remain about the same, its' only myself whose SERP has dived suddenly in the direction of oblivion. I'm posting twice a week and continue to build links as before, nothing in my weekly posting and SEO routine has changed from that used to get up to, and on to page one. I hope, as suggested, that my SERP does return, otherwise the puzzle continues.
hi mate i am facing the same problem like you what i think is just continue doing the link building nothing else we can do
This happens all the time. Google gives new sites extra benefits for a couple of weeks than it disappears. Keep up the good work on good SEO techniques and in the long run u'd be fine!
