Indexing a large site

Question. I have 2 sites I am trying to index fast.

The sites are 4garage-doors.com and residential-security-services.com

Now I know that a lot of people will say that my pages are duplicate and that google will not like this. Truth be told we have several sites with this same platform that mop up. It did take years for the sites to fully index, but we pulled it off.

Pop the following into google search site:www.handymanservicesofamerica.com
50,000+ pages indexed and cleaning up.

Our current strategy is to deep link our "state pages". The state pages house all of the city pages.

We have broken our site maps into 4 pieces and have submitted them to all of the search engines. (XML obviously)

Does anyone know of a faster way to speed this up. It has been about 6 weeks for each site and I guess I have little patience.

    Thanks for your reply

I think the only thing that might speed it up is the get more quality links to pages throughout your site. Keep giving the Google spider reasons to come back to your site. Maybe gradually more content on the site that links to those deeper city pages too.

Try downloading the pr toolbar.....then Google "your niche + blog" and see whether there are any blogs in your niche out there with a pr 4 or above. Then simply make comments on their blog and leave your website url. Do this with 4 or 5 such blogs.:)

Find ways to interlink your inner pages, like putting their links on particular related words or phrase from you well indexed or major pages.

Thanks for everyones response. I will set up the signature asap. I have been doing the blog commenting thing too.

Today I woke up and my ADT site went from 300 pages to 959 pages indexed by Google. I guess I just need a little patience and keep plugging away with the link building.

Google accepts site maps with up to 50,000 urls. So instead of your site map being in 4 parts, all you need is 2 parts. Put something like 45,000 - 49,000 urls in one map, an the rest in the second map.

You said you submitted the site map to the major search engines. How did you submit it to google and yahoo? Did you go through your google webmaster tools and yahoo site explorer? Or did the site map have some kind of ping function?

Personally, I think that 6 weeks to index a site that size is normal. You have done what you could, now its just a waiting game.

Hey there. The only thing that I could recommend is setting up some sitemaps. I have found that by keeping sitemaps to under 10k links each is somehow better. Along with the xml sitemap, have an HTML sitemap. Make it fully valid, and no crap or template (I have found that by adding the robot metatag noindex, follow works well too) and link to it from every page. I also recommend having a robots.txt file set up don't disallow anything either. Two lines can really make a difference.

I didn't check, but if your pages aren't valid HTML, you really need to do that too. On two of my sites I have been getting at least 20,000 pages indexed a month just after adding the sitemaps (xml and html).

    Best of luck,
    Bryan

6 weeks isn't that long in the greater scheme of things for the amount of pages you're talking about.

Google can scan (and probably has) all those pages very quickly, but there's a lot of 'juggling' that needs to go on for them to fit into the index.. so don't worry they will appear eventually.

Create xml sitemap for your site and submit it on Google webmaster tool. Then submit your domain on stumbleupon.com

Can anybody tell me what went wrong with my website www.dashingmall.com. It's been online since a year but only indexing just 200,300 pages only out of 200,000 pages , even i am weekly submitting sitemaps, each sitemap have less than 50K links as suggested by google. My pages don't have any issue even confirmed it via google tools. I have done nearly all the tradional techniques of SEO, I have submitted in search engine and some social networks. I am not doing any wrong way ( like cloaking etc ) . It's a refere products site, so the content might not be unique, so can anybody tell me how i can place more page indexed atleast 50% on google. Another issue is that my PR is still 0. Kindly help me before it's too late ?
