But its Muslims who bring religion into everything , its Muslims that are fundamentalists, who believe in some old text which has long lost its relevance with current world!

so the US attack on Iraq/Afghanistan was(is) actually a 'crusade' and War Against Islam!

    Very worrying...

I notice he didn't use the bible quotes "love thy enemy", "turn the other cheek" and "thou shalt not kill". I guess he is a typical christian in that he cherry picks what bits he needs to support a particular opinion at any given time.

"May US and A kill every single terrorist! May George Bush drink the blood of every single man, woman and child of Iraq! May you destroy their country so that for the next 1,000 years not even a single lizard will survive in their desert!"

All I can say is, thank god we have Barack in office! I think it is safe to say that Barack's motives in this war are not religiously based, even though those who kill innocent women and children with bombs strapped to their chest usually have the same last words.... "Allah Akbar". So long his motives are non-religious, I think Barack should be able to bathe in the blood of one captured terrorist a month on live television. Its all good now!

Yes, it is not your fault!
I can understand, this thread would have been all intelligent if Bible here was replaced by Quran and rumsfield with some PM/President of any Islamic country

hypocrisy at its best .. ain't it ?

A majority of US soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan believe they are fighting a religious war against Islam.

You may not be able to read the entire article from Harper's magazine linked above if you're not a subscriber. But you can catch Jeff Sharlet's interview about what is written in that article...

Can we say brainwashed???? Its either fox news spreading this bs about religious wars or the extremists atheists using the words of another atheist and twisting them around. Hint , rumsfield isnt the christian there lol. A christian is for peace, not for empire building or spreading hate towards other religions. The guy was shaking hands with saddam when it suited him and was calling him a tyrant when it didnt suit him.

A Christian always tries to tell the truth and isnt an expert at spreading disinformation.

Mossadegh was a moderate muslim but he wasnt allowed to stay in power was he;), what is the difference between an extremist atheist spamming every forum and search engine and a right wing christian asking for the assasination of a third world leader????????

They are both trying to spread disinformation and they both have hidden intentions within their hearts and souls. Opps , I shouldnt use that soul word:)

Wow......I can tell you, no soldier I have ever met has thought this was a religious war. And, considering I was a soldier, deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, etc. I think my knowledge is a little better than some random guy that just writes what he wants to. This is all more BS.

Not saying that most soldiers think we should still be in Iraq...thats a whole nuther storey.

stOx considers any personal experience with any subject irrelevant. Third party references from Bill Maher, a self proclaimed warrior against the religious, on the other hand are completely credible.

    Shazzam!!!

Especially when it is used to refute something supported by overwhelming evidence to the contrary. We can all make shit up to bolster an otherwise unsupported opinion, As you more often than not do.

Bill Maher is definitely against religion, as am i, but that doesn't alter reality. Disregarding his evidence is like a judge saying "even though the prosecution has overwhelming evidence you should ignore them, because after all, they would say he done it wouldn't they, They are the prosecution.".

Here's some more definitive evidence that contradicts hostlonestar's personal account of his limited experience which allowed his to claim the story is "BS".

Yes yes. stOx. Incontrovertible. Shazzam. It never ceases to amaze me how easily people are manipulated, be they religious or otherwise. Next thing you know, stOx will be stomping on a burning US flag shouting death to America in the name of Science and Atheism. Pure comedy. One of many reasons the devout are so scary.

Aww, having a cry 'cos you got schooled again? Maybe you wouldn't have to suffer this unending humiliation if you didn't insist on being wrong on practically every point you make in practically every thread.

There is nothing to argue. You've yet to present a lucid substantive opinion or topic for discussion.

I'm neither ignoring you nor ridiculing you. I am simply stating that your OP is boring and trite.

Considering the alternative, I'd sooner take another 4 years of Bush.
