So I made a landing page for a Clickbank product.

I headed over to Adwords for PPC clicks.

Got 150 keywords (for trial and error purposes) into a campaign.

Made 1 ad group for "BroadMatch" and 1 ad group for "Exact match" using the same 150 keywords (but diff match types)

I am only getting impressions and clicks on broad match keywords. and none on the exact match. I dont know why this is happening.

I checked on the balloon msg and it says "it may have been because I just added the keywords or they are undergoing system downtime"

I ran this campaign just 2 days ago and so far got only 8 clicks on broad match.

    Please advise.

Thank you and have a nice day everyone. ;)

Have you tried contacting the Adwords support? Because I think, they're having problem in their system that's why.

you've probably got the same keywords in each campaign? Because it's a new account your broad match KWs will show more times, and therefore be better placed to get ctr more quickly and therefore be shown more. Copy all your exact match phrases and put them in your broad campaign as negative exact matches.

Also, on a less complicated note, it may just be that the exact match of your KWs aren't searched very much - either give them some more time or choose more KWs.

    Jhardy,

thanks for the insight. Will try to give that one a go.

on the other note that you pointed out, i dont think it has too low searched volume as few others use these same keywords.

    Thanks again! ;)

No probs, but "i dont think it has too low searched volume as few others use these same keywords" - more than anything this suggests to me that your kws have low numbers of searches (if they were highly searched then there would be more competition). Type them into the google keyword tool and see what it comes up with...

Best solution is go to google keywords tool, use website description & enter your landing page URL... click get keyword ideas.. you will see the keywords which google thinks you site is related to... accordingly make changes... but for your ads & keywords, just ensure the ads are related to the keywords and also check on keyword performance or keywords diagnosis.. you will get to know why your keywords are not triggering ads...
