The problem with spam is that there is so much of it that everyone assumes everything is spam now a days. We've done our best to find quality sites to exchange links with, but are never able to get a response from them because they automatically either: 1) Have the email go into their junk folder 2) Assume it's spam 3) Assume it's some kind of a ploy 4) Find no value in it We have tried different types of emails from very personal to very professional, and none of them seem to work. Even when the site says "contact us to add your link to our site" they never seem to reply. Lots of the pages with good PR are also very old, and sometimes the email addresses don't even work. What are some of the things you guys have tried that gets the attention of people in your niche, and actually have high value link swaps? I believe that the link swap is a good link swap if it will actually give benefit to your users if they land on your link page. Thanks in advance.
If there's a mention of the webmasters name on the site I'd use that in the email's title to grab their attention.
We've tried that too. Of the hundreds of sites we've tried to contact only a handful had a name. Didn't help too much.
Most quality site's owners aren't online very ofen, and who care about link exchange if their site is good enough?
I have a list of Dofollow blogs below if you are interested. Don't spam, but you can add some serious link popularity! -Rick
The best email that I use to get people to actually listen is to place Link Exchange? in the subject. If you would like a directory filled with 130k sites that are wanting to find sites to link exchange with try www.linkmarket.com. Remember don't just worry about link exchanges they should only be a small part of your marketing campaign. You could try blog commenting on do follow blogs I run a couple>> http://marketing-a-website.blogspot.com/ and http://makemoneydontpay.blogspot.com/ when leaving a comment don't place the keywords in the name if anything go name @ your websites keywords. Anyway you could also try article writing at www.ezinearticles.com and www.goarticles.com which both allow links to your site. Anyway these should help you build some links to your site.
Take a completely different approach and don't beg for link exchange; get one way links! http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1305452
I've made about 6 link exchange requests and got 2. But I recieve link exchange requests every day and I've not replied to a single request so far. Why? 'Cause SE's don't really like link exchanges and why would I want a link on a links page where they have 100's of links, those links have to value, thus why bother? You can get better links by participating in forums and commenting on blogs.
I never respond to requests for link exchanges because for the most part they are worthless. The sites requesting are no where close to the niche of the blog, therefore doing me no good for targeted traffic, or the blog is of bad quality. I link to blogs and websites because they are of use to my readers, and provide additional information or reference, and people link to me for the same reason. Other than that, link exchanges with blogs and websites outside of my niche, do me no good...it's just someone else trying to gain PR. I am sure many other webmasters feel the same way, that is why you are not getting a very good response. If they are like me, they could care less about link exchanges as an effort to build Page Rank, and are only concerned with building traffic.
I have done some social book marking, forum posting, and blog comments with do follow blogs. The result is that all of my sites are in the top page on google.
Try the forums, link exchange threads, and look at their site before you agree. Make sure they will place your link on an uncluttered page. Send a private message to only the ones which look promising.
Yes, the top purpose is building links not like spam. The solution is paying attention to link quality rather than quantity and buying quality links from link brokers.
All said qualty is better than quantity.... build or buy links from diff IP sites... not much from single.. some sell sitewise links... its not good.. better buy from home page
