My question is about making a website using wordpress or blogspot or sites similar to those where to get a subdomain as your "domain" like www.url/blogspot.com does anyone know if these will be less likely to rank high in google compared to sites with just a www.url.com domain. Thanks for any insight!
I don't really have an answer since I don't know all that much myself, however, I would like to extent this question if I may. How much does the ext matter? Obviously .com is best. Does .net come second? If so, does .org, or .info suck? Should we even bother with the rest? Of course it's mostly about your SEO skills, but you can't deny that extensions DO matter. The question is, how much. Would love to hear some of your thoughts!
Can you make the question clearer? Are you asking i you will benefit from using url/blogspot as a somain name or url.blogspot as a subdomain?
Google treated all domains including subdomain fairly. A subdomain page can perform better than the main url, if it managed to achieve better SERP value.
You can rank high in SERPs with blogspot subdomains. But people suggest to them your own domain and hosting. There are many reasons for that: for example: if you have your own domain then you can simply build backlinks for your own site and not for some subdomain on someone else's site.
yes do make site on blogger and wordpress and dont forget to put links in your wordpress or blogger site, google rank your site if you have links and also done youe seo techniques well both off-page and onpage factors. Thanks
I won't say much but just give you proof. Open a new tab and search for "make money online"(extremely competitive keyword 204,000,000 results). Now look at first two websites which have subdomain .blogspot.com. I guess this will completely clear your doubt. By the way I even posted about it in my blog.
ask shakeaspeare to get wisdom lol one reason why .com better is for right or ownership. blogspot is host on google and they can banned you with no reason and all your effort finaly useless
I went to blog that was listed as a sub domain it had a higher Pagerank and listings then the main url. It all boils down to links and traffic flow to the site. This all relates back to the simple page a page b page c example of pagerank flow.
The domain or subdomain shouldn't matter. It used to matter before but google uses a totally different algorithm. If you have your keyword in your url though, it makes for a great word density within the page.
I agree with some... if you're serious - go for your own domain and be in control. Imagine you're doing well and adsense bring you $10,000 a month (happy?) and then your .blogspot account is banned? Be serious and don't waste your time on subdomains.
I'm only 14 so just trying to make an extra buck, currently I do have my own domain, however only got about 1k visitors a day, and want to try to keep everything free
so what exactly you want to ask??? you are in a right direction man...if you didnt have a domain name then you go for free sub domains like wordpress and blogger cz they all rank equal. bets of luck!
