    You have it totally wrong.

The whole concept of religion is terror.

In (some parts of) Christianity, it's important that people fear things, such as Hell/Satan. People also are in terror about their own afterlives - will they make it to heaven?

Indonesia was never reached by Muslim Army ? What ? It's within the belief ...

Dude they kill you there if you not a believer ...

That how Islam uses terror :my friend a preacher and was on a bus in Indonesia
they drag a guy off and cut his balls off for being a christian ...

Those who see this happen become fearful for their lives.

Ask any one who converts from Islam to christian their family will kill them even ...

I am in Indonesia. My main employee is a muslim. Some of my friends are muslim. People that guard my apartment and point me to the right direction are muslims too. My friends from ITB are mostly muslims. I don't see they hate me.

No they don't kill me for being a Christian. However, what you say is half way true. There are issues where religious bigot protests again conversion.

Killing is a little bit extreme though. There are masacres done by both side in Maluku but that's all I hear. There is this prosecution against Ahmadiyah which concerns me.

They cut your friends' ball of. WHere is he located? Is it ruralled.

I particularly don't like any religions. However, I am sick of people using religions to justify screwing others. Yea, I feel that muslim religions are problematic because it's the only religion still with "teeth". However, it's silly to hate all muslims. Most muslims in Indonesia don't support the stuff. If they do, we're already doomed.

I was in Valley Forge, PA yesterday. For the people that don't know the significance of Valley Forge, it's where George Washington (the guy on the US dollar bill) and the colonial army camped during the US Revolutionary War. They endured a freezing winter with little food, no shoes, poor clothing and little food. They prepared and were able to cross the Deleware River in the dead of winter and defeat a better fed and equiped Prussian mercanary regiment. Due to their sacrafice I was able to go to the King of Prussia mall and order a cold beer in a brew pub. In the very place that they had walked. I drank a black beer and Munich lager to toast the greatness of the founding American peoples. The black beer was far better. The munich lager was a little to dry for my taste.

How do muslims believe that they have a right to ban beer?

Just been to a bouquet brewery, can't imagine the number of different types of beer. Not really fond of the drink though, I prefer freshly squeezed orange :) . I believe that Muslims banning Muslims from having beer is ok and has been done in many countries. But Muslims banning other religion groups from drinking beer is kinda authoritarian.

The struggle against fundamentalism starts with a cold beer. http://www.spiegel.de/international/spiegel/0,1518,405232,00.html

In the US there are Christians banning other Christians from drinking. In the US South there are "dry' cities and counties. Utah is kind of dry as it's the home of the mormons. But none of the Christian groups are killing people to enforce their will.

    How about sake?

Potent stuff my friend, after drinking sake, you may not even differentiate a Muslim Cleric from a Jewish Rabbi.

I don't think there is really Christian banning Christian. Normally if you are brought up strictly religious, you may want to abstain from alcohol, but wholesale banning of alcohol among Christians are something I haven't heard much about.

In the South there is what are called "dry counties". The county could have around 1000 sq miles and alcohol is banned. Going back to the 1920's, there was a constitutional amendment banning alcohol in the US. Once the Great Depression started they had to take the ban off alcohol.

Sake isn't so bad because you drink it in small cups and usually with food :)

What is fair punishment for Muslims to impose on a Muslim man who decides he would like a nice cold beer?

That is a tough question. If you are to ask me. My answer will be, religion is a relationship between man and God. Let God be the one to mete out the punishments.....

A fan. Pain in the ass to make, though - years ago, on a lark, got some koji, starter, from the good folks of Momokawa, and was reasonably successful, but so much more difficult to get a decent quality (doing it at home), in my opinion, than with your average ale process.

Big fan of nigori, on cold nights; and of boutique, mountain makers. Otokoyama (junmai dai ginjo) a favorite.

The religious are rarely content with the idea that those who break imaginary rules will suffer for eternity after death, they want them to also suffer during life. I mean, take sharia law for example. In places where this type of (in)justice is handed out you have to try very hard to stay alive, keep both your hands or, if you are in the unfortunate position of being a virgin woman in prison awaiting execution, escape rape (as virgins can't be executed they get raped, so they can then be murdered in accordance with the regulations of islamic law).

Don't you think we have to accept other people's cultural differences?

I mean, what gives us the right to say that our way of living is good and their way of living is bad?

The Republican party recently lost the Presidency and many seats in the U.S. Congress because the American people no longer feel that their way of life is morally superior. They know it's true, because they saw it on the TV news.

They would know it better if they got to see the speeches that Barack Obama gives when he leaves the U.S. to go sell himself to his followers across the globe.

I was appalled when the U.S. Navy ruthlessly murdered those Somali freedom fighters who had captured the American captain who was oppressing them. I mean seriously, what gives us the right to defend ourselves?

Well put. Why on earth are we telling Iran what to do with regard to nukes? Don't they have a right to show even more defiance and aggression. I mean really, they have a right to deny reality, the holocaust, Santa Claus or anything else they choose.
