Google adwords keyword Tool WAY OFF?

    i have been trying to rank for a keyword that adwords keyword tool said it got over 74000 searchs each month. However, i am ranked number one for this keyword and there is no traffic....


    what is going on!!?!!?

    Is that worldwide traffic rather than localised traffic?

    Is it google.com etc etc?

    I find the Google KW tool to be way off sometimes. I like to compare it against Wordtracker and see if the results are similar

    Are you sure you're number one?
    Google shows different results wether you're connected to your google account or not.
    If you're connected, you're likely to see sites you often visit whereas other people will see this site at a lower position (sometimes much lower)

    Sometimes keyword tool CAN be way off. We've had results 2 orders of magnitude difference between google trends and google keyword tool before.

    im not going to say to key word. However jamescolin you were right, im rancked 3rd, however out of 74000 people a month.. im getting nothing... i think google keyword tool is way off....

    Attracting people isn't possible by just being ranked.
    See that the description and the title of the your website in the google search result is relevant/not which the People usually see that before visiting the site.
    And make sure the trend for your keyword is still good.
