Does anyone here make money off Squidoo Lenses?

I know they pay you a certain % of ad revenue among other things. How much have you made from your Squidoo Lenses and how many do you have?

 

Ive just started an account, a few friends have said they earned a fair bit from it.

Im more interested in what type of articles they accept

 

they have all types of categories and you can even set your blog up to feed to your squidoo account so its really easy to post to it.. Just wondering if there is any money in it..

 

You can make money from Squidoo, though not a huge amount. The share of the ad revenue is pretty low, but you can make this bigger with affiliate modules and links. The more (quality) lenses you write, the better.

Edit: Oh, and you cannot feed your blog to your Squidoo account. All content has to be hand written.

 

I don't have any luck with them.
So far i have earned $3 with 50++ lenses.

 

Yes you can all you have to do is add the rss feed from your blog to your squidoo and it feeds in the articles your write on your blog.. Im sure you need to add to your modules to your lense aswell perodically but this also helps you build content for 2 pages at once..

 

True, but search engines can't see the RSS Module because it's Javascript. Only real visitors will see the links to your blog (and maybe click on them).

 

I keep hearing that you can make money with it but I have yet too. I can't even get my squidoo page ranked very high and get clicks to it. I must not be doing something right.

 

for me squidoo is best place to get quality backlink not money, so Im create squido only for link

 

I believe its like article marketing from what I've seen its similar to article marketing + SEO serps exchange. This also allows your site to get crawled by google and pages indexed fasted.

 

I always give the money to charity - the real money is from monetizing the outbound links from the lenses, in my opinion!

 

I've been earning $15-20 a month from about 5 lenses. My top performing lens is the bottom one n my signature. Its in the top 1000 on squidoo and the top30s in its category. My once high traffic lens - earning money online (it was in the top 100 on squidoo at one point) - has fallen on hard days and gone off the fron page of google

 

Interesting.. What your saying makes since, but a well know marketer that I bought this lense from said that connecting your blog helps you get traffic back to your blog because of the feed. I could be totally misunderstanding this, but I thought thats what the video I watched meant..

 

Yes, that will get traffic to your blog, but does nothing for the Squidoo page. Also it will only get traffic to your blog if there are people visiting the Squidoo page.
