Just a small question.

I was just searching through some UK based blogs today in google.co.uk and infact I was searching for pages based in uk. I suddenly came across a wordpress blog, You may know free wordpress blog which they provide that wordpress.com.

I want to know how that page really appeared there? wordpress is hosted in US. I was just wondering.

any possible answers?

Location of hosting is just one factor that contributes to google's knowledge of where to geo-target. For a wordpress hosted blog I would think backlinks from UK sites would be the main clues that were being used.

Agree. Links from UK sites would greatly hep a site to rank well in UK google.

 

If it has links from uk sites that's how ...

 

geographic location is simply a search factor. don't assume that it's going to determine everything you see. I see american websites all the time in google.co.uk - it all depends on how well the content matches the search.

 

If you make link by UK website, it will show high at UK.
