If you have seen some of my posts, you know that I have well over 200 websites. Every once in a while, I get a gift in the form of a welcome surprise. Today, I received a $3.23 click from a forgotten web property. Inevitably, the questions will come like what the url is and what the niche is and all that stuff. Well, unlike most threads of this type, I WILL tell you the niche. Drum roll please... The niche is affiliate marketing. There, I let the cat out of the bag. Now it is time to promote this site because I have concrete proof that it is viable. TomG.
Yes, I build many sites, some of them only one page long. I am searching for profitable niches. You never know where they'll be. Casting a wide net is the only answer. My problem is that I keep forgetting to sell off the ones that don't make much money TomG.
Actually, by looking at the raw server logs, I'm pretty sure what it is. It also helps that the site traffic is very low Yes, 100/day would be just fine with me The key to a large number of sites is evaluating them on a rotating basis. Also, now that I have enough traffic and income, I offload some tasks to VAs. TomG.
Congrats Today I woke up I saw a $2 click in my Adsense report. And it came out of no where. I wonder maybe it came from this forum?
You should have channels setup so you can see where the money comes from. That is really important. TomG.
If we all owned 200 sites, the internet would be an utter cesspit of crap. Well done on the click anyway.
The answer is I research and write. Then I ping with pingomatic or pingoat and also bookmark the sites. Then I rewrite the main keyword article and submit to the top 20 article directories. The sites then age gracefully and whichever ones show promise, I develop. Ryan, that's funny. My websites are not crap, though. I write about many topics and I am very good at it. My articles are well researched and visitors get value from visiting my sites. If everybody wrote like I do, I assure you that the Internet would not be a cesspit. Amusing comment, though, and I have to agree with you on the Internet's signal to noise ratio. TomG.
If that was not a bragging advertisment, I don't know what is. lol, You have under 200 posts. Most people will obviously not know you. And that's why no one can rely on the internet for information with credit cards, health, or financial assistance. This is true. One person cannot keep the quality up for 200 websites. That would mean that 180 of them are left behind just sitting without natural updating.
Actually, that was not my intent, really. I have almost 2,000 posts over at the WF and other IM forums. I was referring to a few of my first posts here when I talked about my initial forays into Adsense. That statement is simply not true. I will give you an example. One of my sites discusses grinding and brewing coffee. The information there is as valid today as it was 4 years ago when I wrote it. It will be valid 10 years from now. Other topics which require updating get more frequent updates as necessary. Also, I have VAs to help me. I did not have help when I had 10 sites because I did not need it. TomG.
I don't think profitable niche is very important for getting this amount from a single click..as because recently i got $2.56 click from a movie site...And all of we know that movie related website or blog does not pay you much..just a couple of cent for a clicks.....Also we know heath niche is having good ppc...but i have even got 1 cent for a click... So,i stopped searching for good nice..i learnt that it is upto advertiser how much they pay...You can even earn more then $10 from a bad niche site ,if you have enough traffic.. So, my main aim is to get traffic ..thats all.
I hope you reconsider that point of view. In my experience, it is simply NOT true. I have a hobby site that gets around 3,000 to 5,000 unique visitors per month and only makes a few dollars. Why? Because the niche pays on average $0.01 or less per click. It is ENTIRELY the niche's fault. Getting 10x the traffic will only get me to $10 per month. Much better to find a higher paying niche than beating a dead horse. TomG.
congrats mate. same as you . i build many sites and sometimes i dont know where the big amount came from. as i build it not using channels way back. but my new websites are now with channels. expect for those forgotten ones.. anyway congrats..
Yes, my old sites did not have channels. I went back and fixed that slowly over time. You should take the time to do this, it will really open your eyes, trust me, it's worth the effort. TomG.
