i have created a new paypal so i my paypal account balance is zero but have verified it with my dad's credit card. If want to send say XXXX$ to another paypal account can i send it? will it be directly charged from the credit card? i have asked this question to paypal support thrice but they haven't responded yet. hope you guys can throw light on this. May be you guys can ask the same question to paypal support and get an answer for me. Since this question was not answered by paypal support i will be adding rep to every person who can clear my doubt. Any one spreading wrong info would get negative rep from me so pls answer only if you are sure of it
Yeap its debited from Credit Card which link from your paypal account if there is no balance in your paypal account but its subject to your credit card limit. DON.
Yes, PayPal will deduct that amount from the linked credit card. However, four figure amount at a time may cause problem. Beside that Your linked credit card may not have such spending limit.
so you say if wanted to send say 500 or 600$ from my paypal account to another i can do it if i had sufficient balance in my bank account. has anyone tried this?
hi don, have you ever done transaction like this. using a zero balance paypal account to buy something online?
Not bank account but its related to your credit card limit which given to you from credit card issuer bank. DON.
If i say i have 300$ limit for my debit card i wont be able to send more that 300$ from my paypal account. is that what you say?
Every credit card has an upper spending limit unless it is of course high end one, which comes limitless. You would be able to make payments as per the withdrawal limit of your CC....and do not confuse yourself between a debit card and a credit card. Both are completely different entity. can you explain the what difference it is? i mean if i have a 2 paypal accounts one verified with credit card and the other by debit card and i sent say 200$ to my friend from each of them what would happen? can you elaborate. sorry i am new to this
As far as i know if you use a debit card to buy something, the money would be instantly transferred to the sellerbut if you use a credit card money would be credited to seller after sometime say a month but how do you guys relate this fact with a paypal money transfer.
A credit card provides you a credit, the facility to use borrowed money while a debit card simply uses the money from the balance you have in your bank account. Anybody and everybody can verify their PP account with a credit card, while using a debit card/bank account for the same is restricted to U.S/European citizens only. As far as making payments is concerned, I have never done it myself, but I presume, the account attached with a CC makes payment debiting your credit card while the one attached with debit card sees payment directly getting debited from your bank account.
