    I heard on the radio recently that a lot of places are going to start having "brown outs" for internet services to conserve energy.

    You will be online and just at random your area will have a brown out for several minutes, during which you are "frozen" online until the brown out is lifted.

    Arent they working on a new form of internet at CERN called the grid? I wonder if this will be more energy efficient?
