I just realized that putting media images next to ads isn't a good idea, so I came up with an alternative. Check it out the list of latest videos: http://www.planetboredom.net They claim that putting images next to ads misleads people since the image has nothing to do with the ad, so made it clear that the following is an ad. Is that allowed?
If I were you, I'd remove all links to porn content, or drop YPN. That is clearly against the Terms of Agreement and you could get banned at the drop of a hat.
i would think that the yahoo sign you have is misleading people in to click the ad (especially the arrow) so they can do a yahoo search (on the title of the ad). i wouldnt risk my acct for that. and, yah, i would remove any relation to porn my opinion only
Text links to porn sites is against the TOS as well? I thought it just referred to actual adult content thats embedded into the site.
The only kicker here is that occasionally YPN places adults ads on sites, so that means that they accept advertisers of adult related sites...still, I would call YPN and ask, just to be safe.
They do? It's clearly against their TOS though. Some may get offended by the message this is sending, who knows, it could possibly get you in hot water as well:
Did you ask the YPN rep if it was ok to have your site link directly to porn sites? I would be willing to guess that they would say no. Just looking out for a fellow DP'er.
Remember, I got an email telling me one of my sites was in violation of the new YPN TOS, because I had images near my ads. I called them and asked if I had a barrier, or line separating the images from the ads if they would be ok, and I was told: NO IMAGES ARE ALLOWED near ads, because of the new TOS, it doesn't matter if they have a barrier, or anything according to the gal I spoke with, but then others say they are told images are fine with barriers, etc.... I removed all images........
