    BAM!!!!!

I walked straight into that....rank amateur mistake. Never say things unless you can back it up!!!

OK firstly about myself...the way you have written your above post appears as though you are trying to dis-credit me, although, i understand your sentiments. I am new to this forum and have not provided evidence of my work.

However, i have no reason to Bullsh*t. I am a believer in not revealing your niche (especially when it didn't have much competition until about 3 weeks ago!).

As for my report...yeah...very funny...with your "drumroll", but once again probably deserved. However, i can clearly state, it will be better than the normal crap that people shell out loads of cash for...perhaps you would like to be one of my free reviewers once it's finished???

As for Shannon, i will have to try and find the thread where this was originally published!

I can see exactly what you are saying about article marketing and people need to be aware it is not a full "business model", it is merely a way of driving traffic and gaining backlinks...so this should form part of any internet marketer's arsenal. Having said that, i know online marketers/home business people who are successful and have never written an article in their life and wouldn't even know where to start.

What i stated previously was merely my opinion. I know for me and for my business, article marketing is an integral part of my traffic generation. Do i do other things for traffic generation? Of course!

You are perfectly correct, it is not the norm to have articles that are published by flocks of other webmasters, but it can happen...and when it does, it can be very satisfying!

Hmmm... hard to say anything at this point really... I am sure that everybody is bound to have his/her opinion when it comes to such issues. The only way to know who is "right" (i put it in quotes cause you can't really ever say that one way is right in marketing, it's always dependent on your product) is to try all the methods for yourself and check your results.

The only problem is that trying all the methods out there can be REALLY time consuming and I am sure that there are some tasks that can be avoided - or delegated. That's what I am trying to figure out through this discussion :)

You are right domain selling is no more good !
I had hosted some of my sites and been doing search engines optimization of those websites. The only time we can do is just to increase and improve traffic on our websites to get clicks = money. Besides this i suggest you to do web designing or freelancing on web. I'm getting more money from this and im happy. If you want to earn high then try high paid keywords articles which can give you 3$-4$ clicks. There are some cool writers on Digitalpoint which can develop 200-300 words 4-5 articles for 10$.Start up some community websites like forum and all which can generate some potential money..
    hope you succeed.

Thanks so much for your advice.

I just have a quick question for you in regards to freelancing as you recommended. How much would you say is the maximum you could make doing that? The way I see it, if you are not good - then you don't even have to bother cause in the long run you'll be wasting your time. If you are good, then again you are wasting your time cause your prices would have to be unrealistically low in order to compete with others.

No disrespect to all my Indian friends, however, with the prices that they offer, they dominate the market at the moment. Don't you agree?

Then again, I am not much of a designer so this is not even an option for me. My skills are in marketing, management and business writing... what is the best way to use these skills in development?

Can someone please outline the basic steps in creating and marketing a site?
I know what options are out there, I just don't know in which order they should be followed and to what extent. On the one hand, building links is great, but on the other hand, building too many links within a short amount of time can get you penalized. It is techniques like this one that I don't fully understand.

Looking forward to hearing your views on that!

Thanks so much to everyone for all your replies
