$70 Logo Contest for farm equipment leasing company

Hey guys,
I've been a lurker here for some time now and I've seen how many good logo designers that are here, and their potential so I have decided to start my
very first logo contest. Yes I am new, but don't let that worry you too much
I run a business, have many happy customers and, I plan on being around here for quite some time.

In any case here are the contest rules:

- Contest ends 5-18-09 (only to be extended if needed)

- Winners will be paid by Paypal (or if preferred, money order)
File to be emailed to me immediately after payment is received.

- File Format - Preferrably an EPS/AI Illustrator file, PSD ok as well.

Client information:

JCM Equipment Leasing, Inc. or JCM Equipment Leasing

They lease large machinery for farming and harvesting California rice.

I'm looking for something original, not really web 2.0 as its a traditional company, but I won't rule that out. Colors... Earth tones, think Organic. Since they deal a lot with Rice, he's also expressed having grains of rice in the logo in some way (see the other logos). They had borrowed the CRC logo and used it on their hats in the past but want to create their own logo for future use on business cards and a website as well.

Here is my entry which inspires more of a ecological look.

My idea and design.

 

bank: Not bad, However I think its just too much all on one line.
I don't make a connection with the Leaf, a rice stalk, or something to represent farm equipment would be better.

Neonic: Not a bad design but could use some tweaks. The one that stood out most was the second and third ones. Again, it looks like leaves not a rice stalk. Not sure if i like the location of the stalk at all.
One of the best designs so far tho.

RaduTRIFAN: This one stands out the most for me. Looks great but with some tweaks i'm sure it can look even better. Correct me if im wrong but that looks like wheat stalks? Not sure if those particular font's work, but im open.

procrusher: Come on, be original! I'm calling you out on this one!...

onlyfights: I appreciate the effort, but these feel too much like a web logo, too much going on for it to be on a business card in my opinion. Feel free to simplify them as id love to see what else you can come up with.
Not sure what the leaf was about sprouting out of a seed? Maybe try something that feels a little more modern.

rawasia: Your first design got overwritten by the second one, may want to double check that, however i did get to see both. Very good design, it caught my eye right away but feels like its missing a little something. Maybe you can see what you can think up and post an update, id love to see some small revisions! The second logo was good to but the first one stood out at me a little more. Keep it up!

IM3D: I'm not sure the circle with the gear/leaves feel right to me, and id also prefer to see this with a white background and more appealing colors. Look in the logo folder for a business card i saw with some really nice colors. I feel the second one is the stronger of the two. Would like to see what you can come up with.

Th3 KiNg: The one in the middle caught my eye the most, the others didn't quite make sense to me where the leaf was located. Id love to see a modified version of the middle logo. Different colors for the JCM and maybe integrate the leaves just a little more somehow. I think there may be a font better suited for the J and M. Look forward to seeing the revision.

logorice: It catches my eye, but id like to see some changes. Could you relocate the "Equipment leasing, inc." to within the border just below the JCM or put it under the border. Also the font for that text i feel would look better as a sans-serif font. I would also love to see a little more color in this, even if its just the wording.
My first thought was that maybe you could make the half moon BG sort of a rice field thats sprouting. and then put a small tractor in it, the tractor doesnt fit well to me just yet. Can't wait to see your next revision! Thanks!

TightWad: I'm not sure what the symbol represents, but i'm not really feeling it, thanks for your efforts i really appreciate it. I'm totally open to seeing another design tho!

@Everyone: I'm open to any sort of interpretation anything that makes you think "equipment rental/leasing company" I'm not stuck on rice stalks or having a tractor in the logo, but your best interpretation.

Also I really like the way the rice looked in my last post of an example with the purple rice stalk and white bakground (the look not the color)

Also I plan to get his feedback on the this next round of logos and see what he'd also like to change.
