I've got a bunch of TV sites in development and I've been doing research on CPALead and Instant Dollarz Gateway tools (as well as ZangoCash). Can we discuss the PRO & CONS of all 3 methods to monetize content? Maybe someone will listen to our needs and build the "perfect" tool. I'll keep the master list...here is a start. Let's really nit-pick these tools closely. CPALead PROS: 1) Custom skins 2) Easy install 3) Nice variety of option with Tease time ant time to live CONS: 1) Not Secure - Easy to get around 2) Can't make money when the close button is clicked 3) Only 3 offers at 1 time 4) Need separate accounts for every site Instant Dollarz PROS: 1) Higher conversion rates / Higher EPC 2) Easy install 3) More offers CONS: 1) Ugly design 2) Too much text on the tool ZangoCash (other toolbars) PROS: 1) High Conversion 2) Easy to convert CONS: 1) They are either out of business or on their way out 2) Spyware/adware
Zango is dead.....so you can eliminate that. Instant Dollarz is probably headed in that direction. Who knows how long CPALead will last given its also easy to manipulate through fraud. You might want to move onto something that has a sustainable business model.
Basically what you already posted, but it's easy to design your own gateway. Which improved conversions for me. You can control what countries see the gateway along with how often a person will have to do another survey. CPALead pays on time and actually last month i got paid a few day early.
Also on top of everything you listed, we also just released code that thwarts Adblock users (See main CPALead thread).
I don't understand why would you say Zango is dead? I even read they were bought by a bigger company that wants to further develop Zango and make it even better. Please correct me on this, I might be wrong
If users have Javascript disabled or they have Adblock, they will NOT be able to get past the latest version of our Gateway. We are very secure. You can disable the close button. That was just an extra option we gave our users. We only have 3 offers at once because we only show the highest converting offers. If one of those offers are completed by the user, the next time that same user sees the Gateway, that offer will be replaced with another. We could setup the Gateway so it shows 100 offers at once, but that would kill conversions. You can also have as many Gateways as you want under one account now as of February 2009. We also convert better than any of the networks you mentioned, for instance, look at our traffic on Compete.com compared to the other 2. There is a reason why our traffic is going up and theirs is going down. It sounds like you haven't used CPALead in months, your assessment of us was totally wrong.
