Would just like to update: I created the blog last friday. I added google analytics to my website last sunday. According to analytics, I've had a total of 3000 visitors. I added adsense this morning, and now i've made $1.50. Is this pretty good for a new blog? And anymore tips as to how I can get my blog even more popular..

The top dawg is icanhascheezburger.com/ and they have a PageRank of 7. Most of the others on that front page have a PageRank of 4 or 5. I did actually count two sites on that first page that had a PageRank of zero and so I would definitely say that you could rank well with some decent work on the SEO front. All these top sites are just full of images and so try an add some writing to your blog. People will link back to your site if you provide value and so just try and go one better than your rivals. You may want to get your own dot-com, with a nice keyword-rich URL. Could help in the long run and if Blogger spot any copyrighted images they may just delete your blog at any time.

Yes - if you're using this blog site to make money I'd personally not use blogspot. I'd register a domain and build a wordpress blog on my own hosted site. What happens if blogspot makes your site go bye-bye for whatever reason - your income will be gone. At least if you take the time to build your own site - THEN - market it, your marketing efforts won't be in vain.
