Please review my site design and ad placement

Hi, I have a site with MMA Videos and would like your review of the design and ad placement. I didn't want it to look like a blog although I am using wordpress. i am not done tweaking the site yet so it's not a final product but please let me know what you think.

I will eventually remove the banner on the lower right hand side to make room for more links there.

Its very simple design.Need to get a logo

 

Thanks for the feedback. However, I don't really care about it looking pretty. I have two goals for the design:

1) I want it to be organized well for users so they could easily find the videos they want to watch.
2) I want the ads placed for maximum ctr

I might add a logo later, but for now -- any feedback regarding these two things?

 

Though i am not a web designer I just have a review on your site and suggest you to put a nice logo and fill your site with nice colors or fill something that interesting.

 

you may need to change the template that other, more suitable to the content of the post

 

I like it - simple and to the point. If I were into fighting, I am sure that many of the videos would catch my eye. I think your ad placements are effective as well.

I do concur with the others in regards to a logo though...

Hi mate, it needs a nice header with some graphics.

 

I think the title is missing in your site, try to add it..

 

I think it's good. It doesn't look like a blog at all in my opinion.
Try to have ads for MMA and not mmo games xD

 

This is a good site for the subject, all blends in well together and like the others I agree you need a nice header and a logo to help people remember you. Also add your logo as a favicon this would help in promotion aswell

Why not put up a competition to see what people can come up with for you, looking at that thread it wont cost a lot but would benifit you enormously

 

It might help to explain to people what MMA is. I have to search in google and understand that it stands for Mixed Martial Arts.

 

Not sure what you mean. If you mean Title as known in SEO terms, It's definitely there. If you mean a logo, you're right -- I will put up a logo soon. Thanks

 

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback guys. So far, my list of things to do:

1. logo
2. favicon
3. header maybe (I like the focus to be on the videos but I will think about adding a header)
4. explaining mma stands for mixed martial arts (all mma fans know this already so not sure if it's necessary, but will think about adding a quick description or in title tage.
5. Changing color to make more attractive.

I saw big empty space ad your left sidebar...loks like not have a balance with right sidebar buddy...and yes, a logo to brandable your site.

I'm Jewish and keep the Sabbath so I remove the ads on Saturday. I don't do business on Sabbath . The ads are back up now.
