Whats next if adsense ends or their pay per click dropsss soooooo much, then what will be your option favoured to make some cash via the internet. We are dependent/accusumed to online revenue by now...and would hate to not make anything from the net...

End Of adsense will be the end of Google and G won't let it happen. So stop worrying about that.

Google (or someone else) would rather replace Adsense with a new kind of publisher program than entirely shutting it down.

You still can find advertisers without using a third party ad-serving program.

    Text-link-ads.com

They're good and getting better. I am aware that it's not pay per click, but to be honest I don't have much belief in that as a superior model anyway. Most webmasters know it's more than just about clicks. It's about ranks, visibility and then ultimately links.

Text-link-ads.com seems fairly new, but their service is great and getting better. I've been with them for barely a month and I've already got $20 on my account. With adsense it took me months for that.

    I say it's could be a reasonable contender. :)

I'm starting to work on the tools to begin selling ad space on my high traffic sites myself. The advantages of selling your own ads is that you keep as much of the profit as you want and you can easily avoid adblockers.

The challenge is finding advertisers and finding a price point they'll pay for.

Do give us an update when you are actually able to make that amount of money in a single day. It never fails to amuse me when people compare Adsense with adhearus e.t.c.

    Sure I will. ;)

These $20 are just for two links sold on two of my sites. One isn't even charged for a whole month, but half meaning it will be more next month for both. As they sell you more links you earn more. If you can fill up your whole text ad space and have a high rank/traffic site you could easily earn even more than $20 a day.

Oh and I didn't mentione adhearus anywhere. :p

With the increase in click fraud, I think advertisers AND networks will gradually move towards CPA (like CJ) and fixed payments (like adbrite).

If Adsense and programs like it vanish. I think I'll use adbrite more as I'm finding it hard to earn from CPA.

if adsense ends for fraud clicks reasons, YPN will end too and all of it`s kind, because they are almost the same

That's exactly why I am doubting the PPC model's superiority. I personally prefer selling it manually or through services like adbrite and text-link-ads with monthly payments depending on the value of the link (based on multiple criteria).

And that simply worked best for me so far.

I voted Yahoo Publishing Network, is paying high, and always it's good to show them to US visitors, and Adsense to non-US ones.

I think it's eventually going to switch to CPA only as the click fraud i sbecoming a problem for Google and in that case I'd still use it. I think if they ever close I would go to yahoo as they are a big companyu they would be reliable and less prone to problems lesser ad agencies deal with.

    Thank You

Well I agree with the above poster, Google derives so much of its revenue by serving ads and publishers help them do that. I do not foresee this ever happening. They may get more stringent on their rules and acceptance to curve the shitty sites, but over all I do not think they will stop it.

But then again one could always go with YPN or Chitika or Hydra Media or Azoogle, TLA and Others.

The good thing about the web is that their will always be ways for a webmaster to make money.

No ofense, but instead of worrying about Adsense end, pagerank tendencies and such, people should invest their time in developing and promiting sites not divagating or speculating.

i agree with that theory...it sort of seems inevitable for programs to stay like adsense, they will most likely gradually move to CPA...

but im crossing my finger things will stay same

If adsense would end than it doesn't mean other form CONTEXTUAL ADVERTISING would end as well. :)
Contextual advertising is next target of Microsoft. And yahoo is also working on it.So on ground there is no chance that Adsense would end :)

but my biggest fear is also that the pay per click gets real driven down like to 1-3 cents per click..then its basically worthless
