It's possible. I've had problems on other ad sharing sites where the channel was including far too many clicks. But regardless, you're probably getting more from DP than others get over all...

But it says it could be the thread starter's ID if it's viewed by a thread, or the individual poster's ID if it's viewed by post. But Shawn's "view by post" example was really view by thread as far as the server was concerned, so it would be impossible to use that poster's ID in that case, it would only be able to choose between the thread starter or Shawn's ID.

You guys think the server can't read the #12345 part. That's wrong, it can.

Just tried it. Firefox 1.5.0.4 requesting index.html#abcdef. Server logs show:

    xx.xx.xx.xx - - [20/Jul/2006:16:01:02 -0400] "GET /index.html HTTP/1.1" 200 163

Checked logs from last year when I had a link with a named anchor on my home page, and not a single browser sent that part according to the logs. I see it in the referers, but not in the request.

That's your log, now try something like PHP's $_SERVER vars.

Actually, they are right... the user's web browser doesn't send the #123456 in the HTTP request, so the server doesn't know what it is. But that's irrelevant for the purpose of the revenue sharing because that's not how it's done to begin with.

I know it's not a big deal, but I'm just more confused now. Heh. I was originally replying to your post here, where I thought you were saying that is how it's done.

Hmmm, well I was wrong then. Thought those server variables could fetch it (thought I even have scripts that do that). Sorry for Bull Shitting gumbo!

In case anyone's counting (some expressed concern), I recently joined DP and have a special interest in AdSense, but I didn't join for the ad-sharing benefits. However, I feel I am weak enough in character to benefit from them, if/when the time comes! ;) Thanks DP.

What does weakness in character have to do with Rev Share

Anyway, I don't think you can join until you meet some minimum requirements

Ok - I've finally joined after reading how some have been able to make $0.30 to $1/day - sure beats churning out black hat pages on a single domain :)

010081: look at the ad code in your pages and get the client ID from there. I too have thought that the ID from my Adsense account (the one in the format of ca-pub-xxxx) was the one to use.
