http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosting/shared.asp?ci=9009#tabs check MySQL in their planes. Economy SQL: 10*200MB Delux SQL: 25*200MB Unlimited SQL: Unlimited*200MB What that mean? we cannot add SQL data more than 200mb. I am using godaddy from 2 years.
200MB is a lot of data for a mysql database. If that's not enough, just go for another host. What kind of sites you thinking of having?
I would contact support and find out exactly what's going on. If you signed up with a different limit than 200mb then they should honor it for your account.
Didn't realise they had those limits, im with godaddy for my biggest site, does my head in that they have no cpanel, i really need to move away from there.
The one time I used godaddy, the mysql database performance was so bad that I couldn't blame them for limiting the space. I couldn't even install an smf forum without it losing database connection...so I guess this is their way of trying to save their mysql servers or something.
I got the email from my smf install on hostgator that said sql data base problem i guess its full after they lowerd it..
In 200MB, you can store a huge amount of data, but then again if it is not enough, you could switch to hosting sites that has unlimited storage packages Im in hostgator and they limit the SQL usage as well
Discussion Notes Support Staff Response Dear Thank you for contacting online support. Yes the each database size is limited to 200MB As in the economy plan you may have 10 databases with 200MB each. Please let us know if we can help you in any other way. Sincerely, Robert P Online Support Team Customer Inquiry http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hostin...p?ci=9009#tabs checked MySQL in planes.
