This is not a dead end, somebody WILL win regardless. Problem is, my client is having a hard time between 2 entries. As I said, and I've been open and honest in every contest I've held, I will let you know as soon as a winner is chosen.

LarrytheLoafer - not sure what you mean in your PM. Would you explain your phrase here:

    Sorry for the cheeky PM.

I am retired after 38 years in the business and I now look after six young recently graduated graphics designers.

They do their best under the banner of my name but they are constantly ripped off by bogus competitions. As are many of the talented designers in here. :)

We cannot do much about this but we are determined to log and trap the guilty on this forum.

Your competition got lost and we clocked it as a bogus one which may be a mistake on our part and which we a very sorry for...

We have tracked 26 bogus competitions in less than 12 weeks. The moderators on this forum should go and drop dead as there are no controls on this site...

Once again, sorry for the cheeky comments but we will spit roast any dead turkeys that are found on this forum...

    Kindest regards,

    LTL and his merry crew...

    Hi there,

After this competition is over we will do a free logo for you using all our designers talents...

We were just angry at the lack of controls on this site.... and thought we had uncovered another sham...

Just PM us for your free logo,

    so sorry....

    LTL

Tell your client, if she doesn´t want to appear like a fulltime idiot, there are three options: name her decision at once, pay for two logos or not getting anything at all.

My client has decided not to go with any of the current designs. She has agreed to up the prize to see if we get more results.

I am not one to make people work for nothing, however, so if I can get 3 votes for any of the versions on this thread, I will pay them $20 for their time. DP can choose the winner, however, we won't be needing the logo.

Thank you for your time, and please PM me when you've received 3 reputable votes!

    All the best,
    Terry

Are you sure you aren't just updating this thread (2 weeks later!) because you have a new contest?

    jackie,
you're asking if I'm giving $20 without needing the logo simply because i'm having another $30 contest? I have paid out each and every one of my contests, I'm doing that because of my integrity - not as a motive.

I could easily say that none were acceptable and move on to my next contest, but I respect peoples time. Stop looking for reasons, some people are simply good people.

    Earlier, you said that:

"my client is having a hard time between 2 entries..."

And all of a sudden, she didn't like them? Anyway, at least could you tell us whose entries were those?

Sure, she liked ktutorials and martalina's work. Unfortunately though she decided that neither really "touched" her the way the logos for her husband's company did (which was DP work as well).

No votes? I'm going to offer my own vote for ktutorials.

So far, ktutorials has 1 vote.

I´m not the one to judge whether you´re a good person or not, but there´s no doubt that posing as a good contest holder in this thread isn´t a good idea. Any potential customer of your client using Google will now have proof that she lacks basically every quality that she needs for her business: taste, the ability to make decisions and communicate them, the intention to work on time. No decent apology from her after such a long time is a joke.

If you believe that not only breaking your promise of announcing a winner but even lowering the already low prize money AFTERWARDS counts as noble, think again.

If I were to vote, I´d vote for you and your client spare everyone a contest like this in the future and let her do her logo on her own.
