I have been an affiliate for quite some time for a Clickbank vendor and had received multiple sales. Sales suddenly stopped a couple of weeks ago for that product, even though I've continued to spend money on PPC. I just chalked it up to the bad economy and hadn't actually got around to checking my link for that particular vendor. When I checked it this morning, the affiliate link works, but when I click on the order button, it takes me to an order page called Verotel instead of a Clickbank order screen. Their affiliate section still has people signing up through Clickbank. Can anyone tell me what this is? Are they purposely cheating me out of my commissions? Should I report them to Clickbank? Or maybe I'm just not understanding something.
That's weird. And this guy has many products on CB, I recognise his testimonial box on other sites. Also happens when you use a hoplink.
Needless to say, I've paused my PPC campaign on this product. I noticed I haven't had a sale on this book since April 3rd, so it may have been going on for quite some time. I should have checked before now. Do you think he's doing it deliberately to cheat people out of their commissions? If not, I would think he would have advised his affiliates of the change and certainly wouldn't continue to ask people to sign up as his affiliate through Clickbank as he's doing. Guess I need to check my affiliate links more often.
That definitely would be something to report to ClickBank, if he has stopped using ClickBank his hoplink URL should be redirected to the CB marketplace or something.
'OVARIAN' isn't in the ClickBank XML feed anymore or in the marketplace. Sometimes you get a letter from ClickBank advising you to stop your PPC campaign for publishers that have left them but this doesn't happen all the time and you can't count on it. The bottom line is that it's up to the affiliate to verify that the stores he's promoting are still in the marketplace. Obviously, if they are in the marketplace but they don't go to ClickBank payment page the publisher needs to be reported immediately to CB.
Thanks for posting this!!! I was already wondering why sale stoped completely. I now changed all of my links. I really wonder why he did this??? What other clickbank sites does this guy own?
Another similar case is the product with the CB ID: Centemax or Run Your Car With Water, I've been wondering why I haven't got sales for it, I usually get a a few sales per week from it, and I realized that the Centemax vendor is just redirecting to water4gas WITH HIS OWN HOPLINK, all the traffic affiliates are sending him, he's using to make himself water4gas sales ! That's crazy!
'Centemax' hasn't been in the ClickBank feed since 3/13/2009. His hoplink is blocked by ClickBank (1234.centemax.hop.clickbank.net) and his site also seems to be down (www runyourcarwithwater.com)
Probably got banned from clickbank for one reason or another, like what happened to run your car on water. Or maybe he got fed up, but this would have been a very stupid move, but still possible, there are many crazy people out their! lol
Thought I would post an update. I received the following e-mail from the publisher for Ovarian Cysts No More: "Thank you for contacting us. The Verotel payment processor has been installed last week and is a temporary solution. We have emailed all affiliates (that we have their emails) about the temporary problem we had with Clickbank so that they would pause their campaigns until the problem is solved. Due to differences between our views and clickbank's regarding the content of our website, we have moved our OvarianCystsNoMore.com website to another payment processor called CCbill.com (note: this arrangement does NOT apply to our other clickbank websites). http://www.OvarianCystsNoMore.com/ccbill.html Mind you that while CCbill does not have a marketplace for affiliates, it does have a built-in affiliate program which enables anyone to sign up under any account and automatically become an affiliate and get paid every week by CCbill.com. CCbill.com has been around since 1996 and is one of the most robust, trustworthy and reliable payment processors available. We would be honored if you consider signing up with us. We would offer you 70% of the purchase price. There will also be a huge upsell offer for $67 very soon which is specifically designed for that target audience. To become an affiliate of Ovarian Cysts No More using CCBill.com, simply visit the following page and follow the 2 easy steps outlined at the bottom of the page: http://www.ovariancystsnomore.com/affiliates_ccbill.html Please contact us if you have any questions. Your friend and business partner, Mary Parker- Author- Ovarian Cysts No More" So -- what do you think? My only problem is that on their affiliate sign-up page, they're still instructing people to sign up through Clickbank. But maybe they just haven't gotten around to changing it. I would appreciate everyone's thoughts on this, because this was a good product that I was doing pretty well on before this happened, but I'm a little uncomfortable with the whole thing, especially the not being notified part when I've been spending $$$ on pay per click for nothing. Is it Clickbank's job to notify us in this instance or do I need to constantly be checking all of my links to make sure everything is still legit? Haven't heard back from Clickbank yet. I'm curious to see what they have to say. Thanks
I have promoted that product and I've noticed in timethat they are gone from Clickbank,so I changed my links quickly Petty that it have had a gravity of 75 before and a stronger landing page than others. Check your links daily , especially if you do PPC.
Like the other sites he had in Clickbank, he is also competing very strong with his affiliates in the SERPS, I saw some of his affiliate sites for his products on the first pages for pretty good keywords. Who knows why Clickbank get mad...
