okay guys, please do not mention the client's name on this thread. they want the old logo (see below) to be modified to have an embossed metal effect. they have thus far rejected my admittedly crude efforts: so you'll have to do better than this. winner gets $20 via paypal. i'd like this over by monday next week.
thanks for starting things off, th3 king! it looks great! i really like the brushed metal look. my only suggestion would be to use a slightly thicker font.
your third entry looks great! the brushed-metal texture looks a little too rough and matte though, like the metal looks dull. could you sparkle it up a bit? i also appreciate that you seem to have done some homework; the 19xx should indeed be 1988.

neonic, good contrast, nice work! zagart, thanks but this is too plain. debitcredit, i like the chrome effect, but on a serif font it makes the text hard to read. could you try a thinner sans-serif font? to all designers: i've forwarded your entries to the client and will let you know when i receive feedback. thanks for your efforts so far! this contest is still open so keep those entries coming!
