$50 - Logo and business card for Political Campaign

This contest is for a logo and business card design for a campaign for State Representative in Ohio. Below are a couple of sample logos that we kind of like but we are open to your ideas as well. Contest will run for up to 1 week or so depending on the designs submitted. Feedback will be provided. Please submit all entries in the forum and not via PM.

Project: logo and business card (logo will be used for letterhead, postcards and yard signs, etc…)

Output: PSD and JPG/PNG images (300dpi)

The following text MUST be on the logo: John Stacy, (for or elect - see examples below), State Representative, www.StacyForOhio.com

Other info about the race: 21st Ohio House District, Republican Candidate (not necessary needed on logo but should be on the business card)

Business card contact info will be provided to winning designer following contest.

Colors Scheme: any combination of Red, White, Blue and Black

Prize: $50 paid via Paypal

Thanks for your interest. The design contest is for the creation of both a logo and the business card. I need the logo file seperate so I can use for t-shirts, yard signs, letterhead, etc... Good question.

 

I like you entry. Just a couple points of feeback.

#1) The Ohio graphic. I am concerned that the shading may wash out the first name. Perhaps we could just have the outline of the state (thick blue outline) and delete the shading and the red star. Also, not too keen on the font for the work "elect". Finally, is it possible to straighten out the graphic so its not leaning.

#2) Could you change the sentence at the bottom to read: Republican 21st District. Sorry I probably shouldn't have put the word candidate in the intial post. My bad!

Proof #1: Too busy and hard to read. Basically a restructuring of nwsn3twrkshp submission.

Proof #2: Good submission. I like the use of space and color. I really like the font you used for "elect". Which one is it? Only one suggestion. The "Republican 21st District" is a small and hard to read. I would make it larger and balance it in the space.

Hello everyone thanks again for your entries. It was a tough decision and we really liked all three submissions but in the end we selected nwsn3twrksp's entry as the winner of the contest.
