Someone told me In a different post that you have to have a certain amount of points to have your links do follow in hub pages. Anyone knows how many points?

    Thanks

MxRockStar is right. These points are actually called Hubscore. Hubpages links will be dofollow only if your hubscore will be 75 or higher that this, otherwise these will be nofollow.

Yep 75 is the magic number. That is for your overall hubscore and not just the hubscore for an individual hub. It can be tough to reach 75 and stay above that. It helps to create a lot of hubs and do some promotion to get external traffic to each hub. It may also help to create long hubs and do periodic updates to those hubs.

With all the hassles of trying to stay above 75, I personally prefer squidoo. With squidoo you can also include far more than just 2 links per page.

Nice I have 74 now after three days and 12 articles, thanks everyone for the clarification. It does require mintenance but it has driven traffic to my sites. I will start using squidoo as well, I assume squidoo is do follow from the start, am I right?

Yes squidoo is dofollow from the start. Squidoo doesn't do as good a job of weeding out spam as hubpages. So it may be tougher to get search engine rankings with a squidoo lens. The ability to include 10+ links in a lens makes up for this.

I think this is in general what you need for the score to go up. Don't copy content. Make the article long, detailed, use like three text modules with subtittles. Use about two or three video moudules related to the article, two or three images related to the article, 3 to five links related sites. I also use one link within the content.

I have been doing that and my score is between 75 and 80. The score may go up or down depending on readers who agree or disagree or like it or don't like it, they may vote it up or down.

    Hope it helps

The full answer hasn't been posted in here yet.

The hub itself must have a HubScore of over 50.

The AuthorScore (aka HubberScore, that is the score of the actual author) has to be 75 or over.

You need both for a hub to have nofollow removed. So a new published hub that dips below 50 won't be followed.

And if your HubberScore drops below 75 ALL your hubs will be nofollowed.

You can read more about How HubScore Works.

Thanks for the info, I did not know the hubs had to have a certain score, and I assume all these changes happen automatically as the scores change?

not true. as long as you have an individual score of 75+, each hub you create is dofollow. i talk from experience as i have quite a few hubs under my account and 2 neglected hubs with hardly any content have scores less than 50 but they are both dofollow.

secret to success with hubpages is to spend some time on creating some quality hubs. more content you have on a hub, better it ranks. also, use proper tags and use as many as possible not making your hub look spammy. tags helps your hub being displayed on other related hubs which in turn helps you in getting higher hubscore.

once you publish a hub, do some promotion. traffic, backlinks, etc helps you increase your score so pinging your hub account, social bookmarking, etc helps you get higher ranking.

more hub you create is better. when i first started with hubpages, i had to work constantly to keep my score above 75. now that i have few hubs, my hubscore stays between 85-95 without me having to do anything anymore. so build as many hubs as you can

My 2 cents....I have one profile with a ton of hubs and stuff...I never got my user score above a 71. So i started a new profile and created 3 hubs. That profile has a score of 81, thus my links are dofollow!

Don't expect a hubscore over 75 with only 3 hubs. That usually won't happen, unless you put a lot of effort into those hubs. It is much better to have many hubs in an account. If the guy above me really had a profile with a ton of hubs, he could've added those 2 hubs to his existing profile and gotten much higher.

Is getting a hubscore of 75 plus easy? As per the details provided in the site, 75 hubscore means 30 page views a month.

Don't you think it as a least traffic?

Honestly if you create atleast 4 hubs a week with unique content, your hub can achieve a 75+ . I had 80 when i got traffic but then it dropped down to 65 and i realized that you need to maintain it to keep it on top. it works good for me now ;)

getting link back from hubpages is nice and easy and I think it is new to me that 75 will be the score to get index,I think I need to look up closer to my hubpages instead and tested it
