Hay guys, The following article is one I put together for my affiliates at MoreNiche. I hope its a interesting read for any budding affiliates. Also please feel free to duplicate, just please give credit to myself (Andrew Coyne) and MoreNiche (www.moreniche.com) Cheers Guys! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The tortoise and the hare I'm sure most people know of the tale of the tortoise and the hare. The tortoise and the hare was a story from a French Poet, in which a hare would challenge a tortoise to a race after making fun at how slow he was. So the race begins... and surely enougth the hare is miles ahead already. The hare, convinced that he was so far ahead that he was assured victory, decided to have a little nap under the shade of a tree. Despite being so far behind, the tortoise kept plodding along at his slow and steady pace, and sure enought, he overtook the sleeping hare and went on to win the race. Moral of the story? Slow and steady wins the race Okay Andrew you've lost it.. what are you on at? Over the last few weeks I have been looking at various websites by affiliates who sell SizeGenetics and other penis enlargement products, and there is one reoccuring theme being brought to my attention: There are too many hares and not enougth tortoises. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can read the complete article here: http://www.moreniche.com/forum/main-forum-affiliate-lounge/11229-what-can-we-learn-about-promoting-your-website-tortoise.html
Great point, Andrew. I see myself in this story - I was very enthusiastic at the beginning and now I have lost a big part of my enthusiasm, although I keep making sales. I miss my motivation that kept me working and improving my sites. Now I'm only sitting, waiting and checking my stats... Any tips or experience on how to overcome this?
I think if you can get yourself into a habit, this is the best way to over come it. E.g Thou shalt: 1) Publish myself onto a listing every working day. 2) Throw together a article and put it onto mysite once a week. 3) Publish said article on a third party site (with small rewrite) once a day on different third party sites until the new article is ready 4) Have a quick look at my bounce rates and improve one page every Thursday etc etc. If you can get into this dedicated rhythm you should be okay. You may only do 15 mins a work a day on it... but that is A LOT Better than doing one week solid and then falling asleep!
Reminds me when I started my affiliate marketing adventures with Moreniche ... so enthusiastic. Then I slowed down, like blichev said, checking stats and hoping for sales duh Anyway, winning the laptop from Proactol on Febuary this year did brighten me a bit thou
