Who here can give me a clear idea of what the future will hold for Google. I dont see it lasting forever. Even though it is like the "internet" for most people. What do you you guys think?

Google will be around for the foreseeable future. MicroSoft has proven that big companies can survive monopoly issues. Pretty much the only thing that could topple Google is the US government or the European Union. I doubt that would happen unless Google seriously overstepped their boundaries.

Google recently celebrated its 10th birthday. No other company has grown so much in size in this time than Google. Of course Google will be here in another 10 years. In fact they will be bigger, better and smarter. The way Google are going, their presence and market share on the internet is only set to rise further.

People said that microsoft wouldn't be around in 10 years but looks like it's here to stay. It is possible that someone else could overtake it. 4 years ago it was Yahoo that had the market cornered and then they sat back and got overtaken by a young pretender called Google. I think the fact that google keeps pushing new technologies and is also getting involved in software, stats, advertising as well as search engines means that they have a large enough portfolio to keep ahead of the game

Probably will be around, but will not continue to be #1 for much time.
I think its time for a new and refreshing change.

I agree with you, Google can not rule forever, but they will still be the number one in the next 10 years.

Google has expanded their base and are moving into other markets besides just search engine. I will be trading in my Black Berry cause of googles mobile offers everything i use without the cost. It's free! While I have to pay for the Black Berry service monthly. Email, Calender, Scheduling, Tasks, Auto Sync...ect.

I would like to see a change but I'll wager they will still be top. When they see competition that might threaten them they just buy them out. Just like Microsoft does.

If they can pay $1.65 BILLION for youtube what will stop them from paying big bucks for other entities?
Who in their right mind would turn down such an offer?
