Is it legal to have two paypal accounts?

    Basically i have a business account on paypal for no reason, i'd like to downgrade to a personal or premier account, is there a way to do this without creating another account?

    If not, is it legal to create another paypal account with the same details but different email address?

    You can upgrade or downgrade once.

    You may also have a business/premier account and a personal one.


    You can also have more than one one of each type that you control as long as you have a bank account and CC for each of them. But, that is another thread.

    You can contact paypal helpdesk to downgrade your Paypal account because there is no link to downgrade in your account panel. I did it 2 weeks ago and no more than 24 hours I got reply from PP helpdesk.

    For the 2nd question: You may have up two paypal accounts. I ever contact PP helpdesk about it. So right now I have a personal and a business paypal accounts

    Is perfectly legal to have 2 accounts but they don't allow the same bank account or credit cards. I suggest do what the other person said about trying to contact paypal :)

    No need to downgrade your business paypal account as paypal allow 2 accounts (personal and premier/business account per person) so open new personal account using same name. But you have to use another CC and Bank Account for the verification of another paypal account. After that accept CC funded payment to your premier/business account and paypal funded payment to your personal account so that you can avoid fees in your personal account.

    If you are averse to creating another account, you can surely downgrade your existing account to your preferred choice by contacting paypal support through an e-mail.

    Since you would be downgrading for the first time, it is permitted to do so....

    You don't have to downgrade. You can keep the existing account as is and create a personal paypal account.

    You are allowed to have one personal and one premier or business account. No issues. But the financial information should be different for both the accounts.

    Yes its can be downgrade and its legal.
    But do remember that you are allow to downgrade/upgrade once in the lifetime of the paypal account.
    So think wisely before initiate any change.

    I guess you can hve two different accounts with two different bank accounts and two different cards associated with each account.

    Usualy you can have 1 personal and 1 premier/bussines .And you can even use the same Card

    actually, you can have as much PP accounts as you want, there is a trick to it, I'm having 3 right now
    but anyway, back to your question, yes, you can downgrade, but you don't need to

    I think you can't have one CC on 2 paypals.
    You definitely can't have one bank account on 2 paypals.
    I was trying to do that and it was not allowed.
    I think the same goes for CC.

    It is legal to have two paypal account with same person or details, but you should have one business/premier and another personal. But if you do not like any paypal account, you can cancel any time. You have to different CC/Bank A/C to verify paypal.
