Can I get 500 backlinks in 7 days? Here is my results...

What's your method? I get loads of backlinks from DP and some other websites.

 

It will be interesting to know how you achieve these many backlinks in just seven days.

 

The real question is do you want quality link or blog commenting and forum posting.
10 quality links will be more valuable than blog, article and forum 1000 backlinks.

 

I think you run the risk of getting your site banned by Google for getting too many links too quickly. It has been my experience that more than 300 links in 30 days will draw unnecessary attention to your site. It's better to be steady, and build consistently for months and months, than to try to build links so quickly.

 

Very good effort that have invested in. Be consistent and you will reach there.

 

Google do not show backlinks with the Link: command anymore
I know people with 3000 backlinks, but only 30 show up in google

It shows 64 backlinks, but not all sites with the backlinks on them have been spidered yet
We will see whether Mr "howtogethigh" has actually got 500 backlinks in about 2 weeks, once all the sites have been spidered

How can you make 1000 links in a day? Are these blog links? In that case wouldn't akismet stop your efforts within 10 postings?

 

Sure you can get so many backlinks to your site.There are many free and paid directories.If you add your site to the paid directory it will be added very soon.And thus you can make your targeted backlinks.

 

google doesn't update backlinks on a daily basis so on the day of 8th, you will not have an exact idea of how many links you built in the past 7 days.

another issue is that you need to consider whether you are building links too fast or not. while it is not impossible to get that many links in a week, there are lot of variables that come into play while determining the end result. if you have a brand new site and you start building links that fast, you risk being into sandbox. even if the site is old, historical link building pattern comes into play. if you traditionally were building 50 links a month before for example, then building 500 backlinks in a week and then going back to nothing in week 2 will cause a serious problem.

so yes, it can be possible but whether it will produce sweet fruit or not is the question

is your site new or old? Because if new then google may ban you.

 

Why is the number the only measure? It speaks nothing about quality. 50 high quality links is far better than 500 crappy links.

 

I don't agree with such theory. You site maybe featured on the news for any reason and get backlinks in no time from many blogs talking about whatever reason it was, does this mean you will be banned from google? I don't think so.

Same goes for sites that go into digg front page, they get many backlinks in short time from blogs talking about that high quality post that they made but they don't get banned in google.

Your site can get a ton of backlinks overnight and I'm sure google would understand that.

 

Interesting thread. Ive just started SEO and this is really useful.

By the way, google shows only 3 links in the normal 'link: search', but if you check your webmaster tools account it will show a lot more.

Yahoo is most reliable for backlinks and it shows 316 backlinks.
