can we use different meta tags

    i have a doubt dat can i use different meta tags in different pages of my websites specially the description tag in meta.

    meta tags are generated based on page content. since each page of your site has different content, it is usual to have different info on your meta tags on each page

    Yes it is a good idea to use different meta tags and meta descriptions in different pages so the search engines do not penalize you for duplicate contents.

    It took me a while to understand this. What help me was using the seo all in one plug for wordpress. Every time you make a new post it asks for your meta tag data and description.

    Whenever I optimize a website, I always make sure that I have different meta tags for the sites I handle. I guess it is the best thing that you can do in terms of the meta tags issue.
