Can someone tell me if squidoo lense is follow or no follow links. How would you campare it to Ezine articles as far as getting traffic back to your site.
It is mostly dofollow unless your lens is in WIP. Any links that are in the Guestbook module, or any of the affiliate modules will be tagged nofollow. The RSS module is completely invisible to search engines, so stick with text links.
Squidoo Lenses are a complete waste of time. I spent 5 hours building a nice lens a few weeks ago, got ZERO visitor so fat, even though I stuffed it with tons of backlinks to my site. Ezinearticles on the other hand, I took 10 minutes to publish 1 quick article and already I see a little daily traffic coming from the site, plus my article ranks 1st page of Google when I type its title. there's just no comparison to be done, ezinearticles all the way man...
Did you spread a word about your lens? Or you dugg it? stumbled? Tweeted about? If you did and still didn't ghet any visitors, then it is sheer waste of time. But creating a lens isn't enough. You need to tell people(at least few) about this lens.. It's easy to bookmark. Squidoo helps you get some quality backlinks.. and traffic too if lens is promoted nicely. Ezinearticles.com has no match... It surely gives great traffic depending upon your article quality and topic.
just because it didn;t work for you doesn;t mean it is a waste of time. Squidoo lenses offer high quality relevant contextual backlinks and depending on how you promote the lens, it can offer you traffic and sale as well. there are ton of people, mostly giant squids, who use Squidoo to make a full time living. they must be getting traffic and generating sales to make that living. you cannot just build a lens and stay put, the lens needs to be promoted sp that people know about it and pay a visit @ OP, squidoo lens is dofollow. in terms of traffic, EZA will send you few free visitors to your site depending on your article quality, topic, and use of keywords while squidoo lens will need to be promoted before you can get some traffic. you can get some free traffic form Squidoo network but that mainly depends on your niche and quality of the lens.
It depend on us how we build lens,? how good our artilce is? and after making lens you need to promote it then only u will get traffic, else it's useless!
What makes you think so? Squidoo links are dofollow. But getting traffic is a different story. You need to get good ratings and some love from those Angels to get your Squidoo ranking up first. Once your lens appear in top 100 or some of their main pages then your Search engine rankings also will get a boost.
The links within your Squidoo lenses content are supposed to be dofollow. Maybe you should go to Squidoo and check the links that they have there using SEOQuake.
ok, honestly guys, who is getting good traffic from his squidoo lens? I'm not talking 1-5 visits a day, but 20++
Build you lens & submit it to bookmarking Sites and update you lens weekly .. Then Definitely you gets lots of Traffic from Every very you just have to update you content & promote you lens...
I get excellent traffic TO my lens. I don't actually send the traffic anywhere else, except to my other lenses.

yeah. squidoo is a waste of time for me. It doesn't give high traffic and takes too long to indexed by google.
