What is this site about ?

Check My Specs allows you to check your PCs specs with a detailed specification of your computer's Hardware and capabilities. You can then upload your PC information online and share this information with the world, or compare with others to see who has the best PC.

I created the site along with my friend in VB and C++

As soon as I got to your site, the first thing I asked myself is ok what are you selling. My first impression was that it looked like an ad site that I would back out of fairly quickly.

I do like the circle logo. The small light gray words on the site are hard to read though. I clicked on what is checkmyspecks, and it seems to just reload the homepage, instead of giving me more information. Using ID spec, gave me the same thing. I see the ID spec at the top. Am I suppose to join the site? If not how do I know my ID, or who's ID am I suppose to search for?

An explanation for the table at the bottom would be helpful. What are the points for? Why should I trust downloading from your site? How will with average person going to your site know their downloading a program and not a virus, Trojan, or something else?

I would not use a fluid layout. My computer screen is very wide and your site shows up disjointed. I would get rid of the snot green color, also.

Neat Idea, I remember a similar site that closed down that did the same sort of thing for linux server monitoring

you should add something about the safest install....no ads....trojans etc...for trust

What does everyone else think ?

 

Your program doesn't show a UI for me, it opens cmd, does something, then closes after a second.

 

What PC you got ? XP, Vista ? Have you got .NET framework, thats not needed but I'm not sure why out of the hundreds your PC does that ?

 

Gateway PC running windows XP pro. 2 gig ram, dual core processor.

 

I believe that you should change the font in the side menu bar.

I like the sites design myself... its clean, simple and to the point.

Of course when it comes down to it you should do some testing to find out some concrete numbers on its performance.
