I happened to me with a website. I grew very well and the visitors deoadata then I fell to 1-3 on the day.
Listen to angilina... you just created your site... fluctuations are inevitable... and just a tip... if you keep changing things around so frequently... robots.txt... sitemap... content... links... etc... you're gonna keep feeling the effects and you may even end up boxed kidda... Good Luck
i think seo-angels and angilina are correct, flucuations are normal. a bit uncomfortable for us agreed but normal. and it sounds like you really did check things out. i do wonder about you saying that someone in the google forum said you had been penalized at one point, but I wonder who was that person. i don't think they penalize that often, either. honestly something big has to come to their attention or the spider catches lots of blackhat techniques, that's my impression. good luck and hope things recover for you.
No mate, nobody in google forum told me that i was penalized, infact they told me that google rarely penalizes webmasters now a days. It's just the indexing problem that made me think of it as a penalization issue. Not only Angilina, I am following every suggestion that could help me solve this problem. At the same time I am being patient.
I have also some sites be banned by Google. Ex: http://www.vietnam-embassy.cn ===> PR3 but not indexed by Google anymore!
If you think that you haven't used any black hat technique. Then you can start again. I mean submit your website to search engines, regenerate sitemap and verify webmaster etc. I hope it will help you.
First, you need to find out why your site is disappearing. Is it duplicate content? Is it bad content? Are you selling links? Is your site MFA? Rectify the problem and resubmit the sitemap in GWT.
Google wont re-include your website till you state why you got deindexed and a statement of correcting the problem.
All my newer pages which were de-indexed after being indexed in the first time has been re-indexed by google again. That's a big relief, atleast indexing problem is solved now. And I will think of the ranking drop as a competition issue and focus on getting some quality backlinks. Thank you all DP brothers for your support, I was really depressed and your support gave me confidence and kept me going. Thanks again. My problem is solved now so moderators can close this thread if they want.
Hmm I can understand a link farm, however I'm sure I read that they allow you to sell your own adspace, to me the simplest form of adspace is text links
Good observation, my best experience, concerning sitemap and small sites, is to submit a simple txt file, that works for me like charm.
