For really good long-tail keywords I use Wordtracker ( Membership )

A good long-tail keyword has more then 100 searches a month and less then 30.000 search results in Google.

I always found Google Adwords Keyword Suggestion Tool as the best tool to target keywords.

I highly recommend that to everyone.

It is amazing how much certain advertisers are able to pay for a keywork: $8,$11,$13

The most important thing for an online business is to have a good keyword through which you can get as many conversation rates as possible..firstly try to search keyword through some free keyword tool..one i would recommend can be found out here http://www.serpanalytics.com/tools/top_keywords

Now if you are looking for high traffic but still low competitor then you must opt for some generic keywords of highly targeted keywords..this would help you a lot..

Google adwords keyword suggestion tool is the best..

Even if you are ready to spend some dollars mostly $15 or $20, you can get some keywords through adwords campaign.

Yes. Just try some adwords camapaign for two to three days, track it with analytics, and then get a report. There you will find some keywords that people are actually using.

I like to use Google's tool on adwords, it will give you many suggestions, you can type in many phrases, and it will give you an indication of the competition for the keywords you are looking at. Might not be the most automated tool, but it is free and works for me!

I'm going to have to agree with most everyone who posted before me. Use Google's own tool. There are other tools available that you do have to pay for... such as Micro Niche Finder. That's a great tool.

In any case, don't end up paying thousands of $$$ (or even hundreds) just so that someone does the keyword research for you!
