I have a client looking for a logo for his diner. What he wants. Diner name "Manor Grill" Western style text. Electric blue White Stainless steel He mention that he would like an oval shape but that was about it. I suggest going with your gut feelings on this one. Contest will run for 2 weeks. If none of the designs are liked by the client the contest may continue till we find something that he likes. The logo must be portable, Will be used for branding, So a sign will be made to be placed on the diner, Will be added to the menu's and such. IF the design is really good then we will up the prize to $100. This logo is for a small diner, with a country feel, and an obsession to stainless steel. With the colors of blue and white (the blue is a bit darker then a baby blue, he calls it electric blue) We reserve the right to extend this contest or cancel it if No logo's meet my clients wishes. A name may help Also, seeing as it's a 2 week deadline I doubt you'll get many entries until nearer the time. Most people wait until nearer the deadline if it's a long contest
I edit the name in btw, and I figured that much, Just wanted to give some time, to allow as many people the option to submit as possible, because when talking to the owner, he was not sure what he wants beside the color scheme and the stainless steel lol So figure 2 weeks time frame will allow for as many different people as possible since not everyone has the free time.
Looking for a more western font but I was just wondering if the colors I used are in the general area?
I'll show him the design on Monday, it's the next day I meet with my client, and I will comment on the design then, Like I said before the guy seems a bit picky. Also be creative, the only things for sure are the colors since he wants it to match his interior. But for me its a bit bland, this will be a logo to help him brand his company. So be creative. The oval is nice, but from talking to him he wants I got the feeling he wants a stainless steel background and not stainless steel text. Also from talking with him he wants a blue/white border. to make the stainless stick out. How ever he also said he is open to other designs and it doesn't have to follow his guide lines. Well I been working on a few sites all day and its now 4 am and I need to get some sleep. Like I said Monday I'll post his comments on your design. P.S he wants the blue to match his stall/booth seats I'll get a pic when I can to upload to show you the color blue he is looking for, its a bit darker then what you did.
Don't want anyone to think I'm not following the thread, but I'm going to hold back on comments till Monday, that way I can show them to the client and know exactly what he likes and dislikes with each. So keep the designs coming. Please remember this will be made into a sign for the diner and be the main thing people will see, he wants something that stands out from the distance. Color scheme of the above one is right on, The blue is what I remember the booths to look like. He mention he worked for a western country club for 17 years and I have a feeling that he is the type of guy who is influence by his surroundings and doesn't break from routine to often.
I will submit my entries after get answer for these: 1)The colour only white,baby blue and dark blue? 2)The words on the logo also the 3 colour? 3)abstract logo only?
Here is my try. Vector=True Clean=True The background is just background but wont be used in he actual image.Please see that the bg of the circle is diferent and that is the actual bg. Feedback appreciated
All the designs are looking great will bring them to my clients attention tomorrow during our lunch in. Neonic, the color scheme is Blue/White Could you redo it in them colors? @ Kain I will be trying to get a photo of the booths in the diner the blue is very close to rascals design. Thats the only for sure thing the client wants is the blue/white theme the rest is open for the designer to come up with.Also he said a western style of text. @ radu and gamelord, I see you two both say that you posted entries but I dont see any.( Never mind I refresed the page and seen them) P.S. if these entries could be vectors would be great since the logo will need to be blown up to make a nice sign for the diner. P.S.S So far all look great, Sorry for not commenting on them but till I talk with my client on monday nothing for me to say (hate to say something on his behalf then find out he liked it before it was changed) I have a lot of work to do tomorrow So comments will be coming in around 9-10pm est tomorrow.
there are a few here I like, but its not about what you or I like, but what the client likes =) So till I show him the designs might as well enter. Like I said he wasnt to sure on what he wanted, other then the colors,stainless steel and type of text.
